Was is a crime scene?

For the past months we have been investigating Anna Garcia's death, We received a call about
her. Anna was found around 10:30 dead lying face down at the entry hallway of her house. It was a hot
summer, 92 Farenheits, Anna was wearing a sweater. Her dog kept on barking until her neighbor called
the police.
During the investigation at the crime scene we found fingerprints, blood, shoe prints, hair,
unknown substance , blood spatter, and DNA. When you are dealing with fingerprints you lightly dust the
area with a brush. You place a piece of tape on the area and make sure it picks up the fingerprints. The
suspect's fingerprints was compared to the one found at the crime scene, we came to a conclusion that
the fingerprint belongs to Alex Garcia we determined this because we found multiple minutious pattern
and it matched to Alex Garcia. The blood type found at the is B+. Which means that the blood could
belong to either Anna or Alex Garcia. We know this because when we did the lab the blood clumped in all
the substance but the Anti B serum, therefore the blood type is B+. During the investigation a shoe print is
was found. The shoe print belongs to Anna. When you find a hair at a crime scene the first step is to
determine whether its actual hair or its fiber. You can find that out by looking to see if has a medulla and a
cuticle. It was Annas hair, and I found this out by placing the two hairs placed under the microscope have
the same pattern. Both hairs have the same cuticle and the medulla is easily seen in both hairs. We also
found pills we did a unknown substance lab to determine if it was pain relievers, cocaine, ecstasy, etc.The
unknown substance was Acetylsalicylic Acid (aspirin) because they had most of the same characteristics.
Then we found blood spatter, the purpose of this job lab is to examine the results of blood spatter that
could possibly happen in a crime scene. Its also used to help investigators determine the cause of the
incident. When collecting blood at a crime scene it is important to identify who the blood belongs to. We
do this by DNA profiling. DNA is a large molecule whose information is organized as a code. The basic
structure of DNA is a chemical called nucleotide. The DNA found at the crime scene belongs to Anna, but
going deeper into the investigation, the DNA at the crime scene was similar to lucy Leffingwells DNA, I
found this when DNA strands are placed in the gel, they both flow the same distances which means the
strands are the same length as the ones found at the crime scene.
The manner of death was Homicide, because of the DNA analysis results. I chose this manner
because of the DNA analysis, and gel electrophoresis. The next step for annas investigation would be
interrogation, and questioning as each other step has been completed. Specialist, and medical examiners
play a huge role in assisting annas case. Specialist deal with most of the lab work, and analysis. Which
can determine who and what was involved. The medical examiner performs the observations of how the
body possibly was killed, or if there was any natural or unnatural cause to the death.
