Anna Garcia was found dead at 9:56 am by EMTs. The time of death
was determined as 7:00 am that morning. Of the evidence collected, such as
DNA, shoe print, and hair, all of it belonged to Anna. The persons of interest
are Alex Garcia, Doug Greene, Erica Piedmont, and Lucy Leffingwell. The
crime scene includes vomit, blood droplets, a bloody chair, syringe, pills,
muddy footprint, a blood pool under her head, hair, and a cup. Her cause of
death is still undetermined, but is coming into light as more evidence is
collected.
Evidence was collected at the crime scene, observed, and sent to labs
to be tested. The shoeprint at the crime scene was found to be Annas
because it was matched her shoe size and a pair of shoes in her possession.
The footprint found at the scene was also Annas. The blood type at the
scene was B which matched both Anna and Alexs blood type, but the DNA
testing proved it to be Annas. The fingerprint found at the scene matches
Alexs fingerprint. The pills found at the scene were tested and determined
to be aspirin. The blood droplets found at the scene were determined to
have come from a 90 degree angle, someone standing right over them and
from between 25 and 75 cm. The hair found at the scene also belongs to
Anna. The persons of interest are Alex Garcia, Doug Greene, Erica Piedmont,
and Lucy Leffingwell. Alex is Annas former husband; they went through a
nasty divorce. Alex was at Annas house the previous night to discuss
paperwork. Doug is Annas next door neighbor who Anna had been in a
relationship with, but Anna had ended it abruptly last week. Erica Piedmont
is Alexs new wife who was seen sitting in a parked car in front of Annas
house the day before her death, and she was also seen having a heated
argument with Alex recently at a local diner. Lucy Leffingwell is Annas best
friend and co- owner of their local bakery. They had been arguing lately
about whether or not to expand. The conflict has caused a strife in their
friendship. Annas body was sent off for an autopsy and the report came
back including that there had been no post- mortem tampering. It also said
that there is vomit on the right shoulder of her blouse. She had an injury to
her right temple including an open wound with pre- mortem bruising, a
distended abdomen, swollen ankles with signs of edema, graying fingernails,
red inflamed injection sites on her left thigh, and a right elbow bruise. The
only inconsistency in the data was the fingerprint found at the scene that
belonged to Alex because all other evidence belonged to Anna. Although
there is evidence to help determine her cause of death, more evidence is
needed to fully determine her cause of death such as the contents of the
syringe and her medical history.
Based on all the data found in the experiment I believe the manner of
death was natural. All of the evidence other than the fingerprint found were
Annas and the fingerprint could have been left the previous night by Alex. It
is possible that she has an allergy to aspirin and inserted a epi-pen in her
thigh which could explain the inflammation and injection spot it also could
have caused her to collapse and hit her head on the chair causing the blood
droplets and pre- mortem wound on her temple. She could also have gone
into cardiac arrest caused from whatever the contents inside of the syringe
and hit her head on the chair. More information still needs to be collected to
clearly determine Annas cause and manner of death.
