Embedded Sys. & Robotics Workshop

This workshop is for students interested in embedded systems and robotics. Over two days and 16 hours, topics from embedded systems and microcontrollers will be covered, with an emphasis on robotics applications. Students will learn about microcontrollers, programming in embedded C, interfacing sensors and motors, and developing their own robotic models. Hands-on projects will include LED patterns, motor control, LCD displays, sensor interfacing, line-following robots, and GPS/GSM applications. All student teams of 5 people will receive a kit containing components like an AVR microcontroller, LCD, sensors, motors and robotics parts to complete the projects.
