Notes
DICOM Send will NOT work in the following network environments: o Your computers IP address is not fixed, such as like a DHCP environment. o When your try to communicate outside of LAN, or unavailable to acquire Global ID. o When a firewall is set to block communication on certain ports. o When trying to pass through a router that is not setup to port forward.
Some PACS software CANNOT read compressed DICOM images. If you have problems with sending DICOM images, try to change the DICOM compress status to No in the Setup Icon under the General Tab.
There will not be any progress screens or completion screens on the computer you are sending DICOM images from. You will only see a progress screen or a completion screen on the receiving computer or server that is running a PACS system.
Sending DICOM images will only send the DICOM image and not the annotations.
Check with the PACS software support on how to receive DICOM images before setting up the DICOM Communication feature in Naomi.
