1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A candidate must be a citizen of India.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Matriculation National Apprentice Certificate (NAC)/National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT. Note: (a) If candidates with NAC / NTC are not available in a particular trade then applicants with ITI or equivalent qualification will be considered against vacancy of the trade. (b) Degree and Diploma in Engineering will not be accepted as qualification for Direct Recruitment to the semi-skilled posts AGE : Age as On Closing Date Between 18 to 32 years Between 18 to 35 years Between 18 to 37 years Between 18 to 37 years

Age Relaxation in addition to above mentioned upper age limits:

Ex-Trade Apprentices OFs Ex-Servicemen( Unreserved / General) Ex-Servicemen ( OBC, SC/ST ) To the extent of period of apprentice training undergone by them under the Apprenticeship Act 1961. 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning. 06 years (3 years + 3 years), 08 years (3 years + 5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning for OBC & SC/ST respectively.
Physically Handicapped Up 10 years. Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Up to 5 years. State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. Departmental candidates with three years continuous Up to 40 year of age ( 45 for SC/ST) service in central government in same line or allied cadres.
2. APPLICATION FEE (NON-REFUNDABLE): An application fee of Rs. 50/-. No fee will be charged
for SC/ST, Women, PWD (Person with Disability) and Ex-Servicemen candidates. Separate Fees has to be paid for OF Dumdum and OF Nalanda.
3. SELECTION PROCEDURE: Short-listed candidates on the basis of written examination will be

called for practical/trade test. Practical/trade test will be purely of qualifying nature. The selection will be made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination subject to getting qualified in the practical examination.
4. SYLLABUS FOR THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION: (i) NCVT for Technical. (ii) A few questions will
also be on General Awareness on Everyday Life and Science, Reasoning (Verbal and non-Verbal) & Quantitative Aptitude of Matriculation standard. Note: The question paper will be in English, Hindi and Bengali. Duration of the examination will be 90 minutes for 100 multiple choice questions. 5. HOW TO APPLY: No manual applications would be entertained. Pl apply separately for Ordnance Factory Dumdum and Nalanda. The online application shall be at ofb.gov.in. The link will remain active from to for Ordnance Factory Dumdum & from to Ordnance Factory Nalanda. . Detailed instructions are available at the site. The filling of online application contains two parts: Part I Registration Part II Registration
1. In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details,
candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any.
2. Part II Registration contains filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and 3. 4. 5.

scanned signature. The application procedure will be incomplete without Part II Registration. Candidates who have to pay application fee can pay fee as per direction given in website. On successful completion of the transaction and application form will be generated; which may be printed for record.
6. Candidates should keep a copy of the Application printout and Fee Receipt for their record. 7. Candidates have to download Admission Card as per instructions provided in the website. 8. Candidates will be permitted to enter Examination venue only with the proof of Admission
Card along with a photo identity proof.
6. REJECTION OF APPLICATION: Candidates are requested to read all instructions thoroughly

before sending their applications to the OFRB. Otherwise, their applications are likely to be rejected on one or more reasons.
7. INFORMATION & COMPLAINT: Candidate must check the web-site for updates on the
examination process. OFRB entertains on-line application with facility for SMS & e-mail alerts through which candidates are provided with the information such as date and time of Examination, Interview, Practical test etc. on their registered cell phones. Any complaint regarding recruitment matters can be referred to the Principal Director / OFRB, Ambajhari, Nagpur- 440 021 in writing by Post.
