    RULES & CONDITIONS OF PLAY

All games to be played under the laws of the I.B.A. and I.W.B.A. Tournament games shall be played on the greens allocated Tournament format shall consist of a Qualifying stage of three games, points and shots scored, then progress to a Finals knock out stage. Scoring: Win - 2 points, Draw - 1 point, Loss - 0 points, Bye - 2 points plus shots as average score. Total shots scored shall be taken into consideration. 3 wins and you will qualify for the Knock out stages Open Singles shall be 4 bowls each, 12 ends each game. Top 8+ qualify. Open Pairs shall be 4 bowls each, 12 ends each game. Top 8+ qualify. Open Triples shall be 3 bowls each, 12 ends each game. Top 8+ qualify. Open Rinks shall be 2 bowls each, 12 ends each game. Top 8+ qualify. Open U18 Singles shall be 4 bowls each, 10 ends each game. Top 8+ qualify Mixed Pairs shall be 4 bowls each, 12ends each game. Top 8+ qualify. Mixed Pairs Qualifiers shall be played on Friday/Monday/Wednesday, 6:30. Games in Final shall be 18 ends each game. Except U18s. Trial ends in Finals stages only, consisting of 2 bowls each way. All U18 competitors must be under 18 years of age on the day of the final. If any player fails to appear within 15 minutes of the allocated time the match may be awarded to their opponent. Players competing in the Finals stages will be required to wear Club colours or whites for Men and/or creams for Ladies. All winners to make themselves available for the presentation ceremony after the Finals have been played. Slow play or misconduct shall be dealt with by the Committee as they decide. Tournament times will not be changed to facilitate any other Tournament. The Committee have the right to refuse entry to the Tournament, to change dates, to reschedule games, to reduce ends/games and to enforce the rules. Players participating in the Tournament do so at their own risk. Child Protection Officer for the Tournament shall be George Martin. Rule to reduce Qualifiers to a Final 8. See Tournament Rules. Must play 2 games to Qualify for Finals stages. 2 Byes are not permitted.
