Application instructions
Preparation of coating material: Application methods:

Stir thoroughly, free of lumps.

Airless spraying: - material shall be applied undiluted - airless spray equipment with transmission 30 : 1, pressure 180 bar - hose diameter not below 3/8 - whipline 1/4 may be used - recommended nozzle size 0.27 - 0.56 mm or 0.011 - 0.023 - hoses must be solvent resistant! Brushing and rolling: - 1 - 2 application layers are necessary to achieve final dry film thickness of 60 m

Application conditions:

Object temperature not below + 5C, to max. + 50C Relative humidity max. 80% Application temperature shall be at least 3 K above dew point. In case relative humidity exceeds 80% special measures must be taken to prevent the condensation forming while application. During application and drying of total Sika Unitherm coating system including Sika Unitherm 7854 topcoat as well as transportation special protection measures must be taken against weathering. Note: With critical situation i.e. frequent formation of condensation and/or heating up of surfaces above 45C, possible special measures should be taken. At approx. + 20C temperature and 65% relative humidity. Touch dry after approx. 4 hours; overcoatable with second topcoat layer after approx. 24 hours. Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity may extend drying time. Sika Unitherm 38091 interior/exterior require a minimum of 24/48 hours drying before the application of first layer Sika Unitherm 7854 topcoat. Immediately after use with Sika Unitherm thinner 11089.
