University of South Florida, Tampa, FL
Graduate Research Assistant, Dr. Sarah Yuan August 2012-Present Studied factors contributing to microvascular hyperpermeability under inflammatory conditions. Utilized techniques such as cell culture, ECIS, immunocytochemistry, Western Blot, and RT-PCR to determine how changes at the cellular level effect endothelial barrier function. .

Identified species of cyanobacteria from several Central Florida lakes utilizing several biochemical tests. Determined overall status of eutrophication based on species identified from lake samples.
Undergraduate Researcher, Dr. Carmen Gauthier October-December 2010 Analyzed water samples for calcium, carbonate, orthophosphate, and copper concentrations a variety of analytical chemistry techniques. Collaborated with several colleagues by comparing data and interpreting differences in results obtained.
