ENTRIES
ENTRIES: Pre-entries close 14 days prior to the first day of the show. Post entries shall be charged a $15.00 penalty per horse. Only complete entries will be processed and considered qualified for pre-entry status. To be complete, the entry form must contain the following: 1) All stall fees. 2) Names of horses, owners, riders, and trainers. 3) Divisions/classes entered. 4) Required signatures and USEF numbers. 5) Phone numbers of owners and trainers. Numbers will not be issued to competitors without full payment or a signed open check and presentation of all Measurement and Amateur credentials. Horses showing in classes in which they have not been entered will pay a double entry fee for those classes.

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS - A fee of $50 plus collection fees will be charged for all non-negotiable checks.
REFUNDS: Before the pre-entry deadline all fees will be refunded. After the pre-entry deadline, entry fees will be refunded, less a processing charge of $25, upon presentation to the show manager of a proper vet certificate. Division entry fees cannot be refunded once the horse has exhibited in the first class of the division. No stall fees will be refunded.

RULES AND REGULATIONS


Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and regulations of the current USEF Rule Book and will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if insufficient entries warrant. The Robert Murphy Stable Horse Show, its officers, officials and employees will not be responsible for any accident or loss which may occur to an exhibitor, spectator, guest, rider, groom, attendant or other employee, animal, or equipment at the show. THIS SHALL BE A CONDITION OF ENTRY TO THE SHOW GROUNDS. A prize and six ribbons will be awarded in each jumper class, eight ribbons in Hunters and Equitation. Manual poling is prohibited for all horses. NO BRAIDING, PLEASE.

COGGINS & HEALTH CERTIFICATES


Proof of negative Coggins Test within one year is required of every horse entering the Kentucky Horse Park. Out-of-state horses must be accompanied by a current health certificate (within 30 days). In state horses must be accompanied by a KY Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within one year. This paper work must accompany the horses upon arrival and be available throughout their stay.

The Kentucky Horse Park is located 4 miles North of Lexington, Kentucky at Exit 120. I-75 SOUTHBOUND Take Exit 120 and turn left. Main entrance of Kentucky Horse Park is 1/4 mile on left. I-75 NORTHBOUND Take Exit 120 and turn right. Main entrance of Kentucky Horse Park 1/4 mile on left. I-64 EASTBOUND Just North of Lexington, Kentucky take I-75 North bound to Exit 120 and turn right. Entrance of Kentucky Horse Park is 1/4 mile on left. I-64 WESTBOUND Just East of Lexington, Kentucky take I-75 North bound to Exit 120 and turn right. Entrance of Kentucky Horse Park is 1/4 mile on left.

CREDENTIALS
NO NUMBERS WILL BE RELEASED UNTIL PROPER CREDENTIALS AND ALL SIGNATURES ARE IN ORDER. All USEF/USHJA Membership Numbers That Apply Must Be Noted on the Entry Blank or A Non-Member Fee or Fees Must Be Paid. All Exhibitors in the Pony and Junior Hunter sections must present their measurement cards at the office before numbers will be released. All Pony or Junior Hunters who do not possess a current measurement card will be measured at a time and place to be announced. All exhibitors in the Amateur sections must present their amateur certification at the office before numbers will be released.

ALL HUNTERS
Courses will simulate fences found in the hunting field such as brush, wall, in-and-out, oxers, post & rails, gate, aiken and panels. In some classes the area of the Courtesy Circle may be restricted to a mandatory line. This line will be indicated on the course diagram and a corresponding barrier will be erected in the ring. All classes will be judged on performance, manners and soundness. See rated sections for their judging specifications. Under saddle classes will be shown at the walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Light contact with the horses mouth is required. Horses may be asked to hand gallop, collectively one way of the ring at the judges discretion, but never more than eight horses at one time. Martingales are prohibited. Horses in the Pre-Green, Childrens and Limit classes will not hand gallop. A Champion and Reserve title will be awarded to two of the four horses acquiring the most points over fences in each hunter section. In addition to these points, only these four horses will receive full points for one under saddle class. Full championship points will be given in each hunter section.

ALL JUMPERS
Courses in the jumper sections may consist of any combination of the following: brush, gates, oxers, post & rails, liverpool, wall, panels, and coop. Horses tied for other than first place will be placed according to their first round time.

UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FED.


Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current US Equestrian Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above, and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions, and Endurance Rides. A nonnon-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Comptetions upon payment of a $30.00 nonnon-member registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 44-H members; 5) Walk Trot and Academy Classes (Academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF Introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Comptetions; 8) Opportunity Classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

Please include your US Equestrian membership number and the US Equestrian membership number of the trainer on all entry forms.

Federation Entry Agreement


By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation) and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the By laws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cablecasts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4.

DAMAGE - All owners and exhibitors shall be held responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents, or employees to stalls, buildings, or other properties on the show grounds, and shall be billed accordingly.

KHP STALL RULES 2013


Shows are no longer permitted to attach to barns with nails or screws. All shows wishing to display banners or curtains must have structure independent of the barns. Show will billed for all damages and repairs. **Note - Any charges billed to the show for damages or repairs will be forwarded to the exhibitor.

PRE/INTERMEDIATE CHILD/ADULT JUMPER


Open to horses ridden by a Junior or Amateur. Rider may not cross enter into any class where fences are higher than 3. Fences 26 to 29 (.85 m). Spreads to 29. Classes 141, 142, 143 Table II Sec 2(b) $10 Add back. 35%, 25%, 15%, 10%, 10%, 5% Entry fee: $30 per class.

STALLS AND RINGS


10x10 box stalls of wooden construction, with doors, in a permanent barn will be used. First bedding will not be included. Stall fee is $185.00 per stall. Stalls will be available July 3rd, and they must be vacated at the completion of the show, July 7th. EARLY STABLING OR LATE STABLING WILL BE CHARGED $50 PER STALL PER DAY BY THE KHP. The KHP requires the purchase of a $20 Grounds Day Pass or a $75 Seasonal Trailer Pass by competitors who do not rent a stall . All rings and warm-up areas have all-weather footing. Ring size: Stonelea 285 x 140, Claiborne 265 x 140, Murphy Ring 280 x 140.

1st Place Prize is FREE GOLF CART to the winning barn for a week at the Kentucky Horse Park Rules: Teams of 4 may participate. Each team must have a name. All participants must be under 18. Teams may consist of members from one stable OR more than one stable. Stables may have more than one team, as long as each team has 4 members. Teams will answer a large variety of questions pertaining to horses, horsemanship, and riding.

PRIZE MONEY
Prize money will be paid in the horse show office at the conclusion of each exhibitors showing.

SCHOOLING
There are no schooling fees for entered horses. Non-showing horses will be charged a schooling fee of $85.00 per horse. Schooling will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until $85 6 p.m., and on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, weather permitting.

JUMP ORDER
A rotating jump order will be established, at managements discretion, for all jumping classes. Riders who anticipate a conflict must arrange their order of go so as to avoid causing a delay.

Horse park Rules


1. PARKING - Passes may be obtained from the Parking Booth or Visitor Information Center upon entry. $5.00 fee assessed for each parking pass per event. Horse trailer day passes are required for all competitors showing out of their trailer and must be purchased for $20 per day or $75 for a seasonal pass. All trailers must park in approved lot. NO PARKING is allowed in the barn area. Trailers should be dropped in the main Kentucky Horse Park parking lot and NOT in the stabling area. 2. CAMPERS/ R.V.S/ HORSE TRAILERS W/LIVING SPACE- Must go to campground for water/electric hook-up, unless event has made separate arrangements with KHP Special Events. NO HOOK-UP ALLOWED TO THE BARNS AT ANY TIME! CAMPING- We now accept reservations. Please call 888/4KYPARK (888/459-7275) or reserve on-line at www.parks.ky.gov. Groups of 20 or more, please call 859/259-4257 or 800/370-6416. Limited spots are available on a first-come-firstserve basis. 3. GOLF CARTS/ MOPEDS ETC.- A privilege-not a right- extended to show participants. Must be at least 16 years of age with valid drivers license. Not allowed in the Tourist/Visitor areas of the Park. A Golf Cart License is required for all private golf-carts and can be obtained for $25/event or $50/season from the golf cart vendor office. NO ALL TERRAIN (ATV) VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON HORSE SHOW GROUNDS! 4. DOGS- Must be on a leash (not to exceed 6 feet in length) or suitably restrained in a tack stall/cage etc. Loose animals/ animals left in vehicles in distress, etc. can and will be removed from the grounds at the owners expense. 5. HORSES AND HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES Have the right-of-way at all times. 6. EXHIBITOR PROBLEMS/SPECIAL REQUESTS-All non-emergency problems or special requests must be relayed through show management to ensure prompt attention. 7. PACKAGES/DELIVERIES- The Park is not responsible for any deliveries to an event or event participant. Receiving party must be present when delivery is expected. Park mail service personnel will try to assist if conditions allow, however, any delivery/package may be refused/returned to sender, etc at any time without notification. 8. PARK ADMISSION- Reduced Park admission is available to event participants and must be obtained at the Visitor Information Center. Proof of event participation may be required at time/point of sale. 9. FIRE CODES As of May 15, 2006, The Kentucky Horse Park will not allow the following inside of barns or tents, which will be enforced by the Fire Marshall: a. any 2-wire appliances b. any 2-wire extension cords c. light duty cords for indoor use d. any 3-way adaptors unless specifically made for outdoors e. any adaptors with out 3-wire connections f. any cut or damaged cords

JUMPER DIVISION
Nomination Fee: $60 except Hopeful and Pre/Intermediate Child/Adult Jumper.
All horses competing in any jumper class (except Hopeful and Pre/Intermediate Child/Adult) must be nominated. There are no scratch/add fees. Ties other than first place will be decided by the time taken to complete the course. A rotating jump order will be established as required.

HOPEFUL JUMPERS

MOTORIZED VEHICLES/GOLF CARTS - Minors who do not have a valid drivers license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid drivers license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation.Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian (s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

TRAINING JUMPERS
Open to all horses and riders. Fences 36 (1.07m) to 39 (1.15m). Spreads to 4. Level 4. 382 YPM Classes 96, 97, 98 Table II Sec 2(b) $45, $35, $30, $25, $20, R Entry fee: $20 per class.

OPPORTUNITY CLASSES
Opportunity classes are designed for entry level riders. Riders competing in Zone pointed divisions (such as Childrens Hunter) or Regular divisions (such as Regular Ponies) are not eligible to compete in opportunity classes. Horses and riders competing in opportunity classes are still subject to and must comply with the USEF Drugs and Medication rules and are subject to drug testing. Horses competing solely in opportunity classes are exempt from Federation fees, including Equine Drug and medication fee, and are not required to have a Horse Identification Number (HID) or Recording Number. Riders competing solely in opportunity classes are exempt from Federation membership requirements and are not required to pay a non-member fee. The following divisions will be considered opportunity classes: Beginner Rider, Long Stirrup Hunter and Long Stirrup Equitation, Short Stirrup Hunter and Short Stirrup Equitation.

GREEN HUNTER
Open to all horses in their first or second year of showing at Regular Member competitions of the USEF or CEF that require horses to jump 36 or higher. Fences 36 for the first year horses, 39 for second year horses. Open to riders 11 years of age and under. Riders in this section are ineligible for any other classes with fences exceeding 2 except equitation. Fences 2. CHILDRENS HUNTER
Open to horses and ponies to be ridden by a Junior exhibitor. Neither horse nor rider may cross enter into the Junior Hunter Section at the same show. Riders may not cross enter into any classes in which fences exceed 33 at the same show, except equitation and Childrens Jumper classes.
