How to hide the drives(C: D: E: etc) in your computer

This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or
networked drives when you click My Computer.

1) Go to start->run. Type regedit.Now go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version
\Policies\Explorer
2) Now in the right pane
3) creates a new DWORD item and names it No Drives (it is case sensitive).
4) Now modify its value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal).
Now restart your Computer. So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be
shown (all gone...).

To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you
created. Again restart your Computer. You can now see all the drives again.

How to boost the PC faster than it is now

A great new feature in Microsoft Windows XP is the ability to do boot defragmenters.

This places all boot files next to each other on the disk to allow for faster booting.
By default this option is enabled, but on some systems it is not, so below is the
information on how to turn it on:

Go to Start Menu>Run> Type regedit then click ok Find>

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Dfrg>BootOptimizeFunction"
Select "Enable" from the list on the right Right on it and select "Modify “Change the
value to Y . Reboot your Pc and see the change yourself.

How to create shortcut on shutdown and restart buttons on desktop

Many u think to have the shutdown and restart buttons on our desktop. The traditional
way includes going to start button and then choosing the Turn off Computer button and
again choosing between switch users, turn off and restart. It does take a few seconds more
(some times boring). Well there is a solution for it

You can create a Shutdown Button& restart on the desktop.

To create a shutdown and restart button on Desktop we have to create a shortcut. To do
this first
Right Click on the Desktop and then click New Button. Then scroll down to Shortcut. On
clicking it a new Window appears with a blank space saying "Type the location of items".
In this space write "shutdown.exe -s -t 5" or "%windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 5"
Now the -s stands for shutdown and -t denotes the time in seconds to wait before
windows shutdown. Then click next and give a name as shutdown and click Finish. To
apply icons to it simply Right click it and Properties and then Change Icons. For Restart
simply change -s with -r like this way "%windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -r -t 10" or
"shutdown.exe -r -t 10".

30% because phone receives fewer signals from network.

Note, your data in the wallet will be erased. Phone will ask you the lock code. Default
lock code is: 12345

Press *#3925538# to delete the contents and code of wallet.

Unlock service provider: Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up (arrow keys) for 3
seconds, should say pin code. Press C, then press * message should flash, press * again
and 04*pin*pin*pin#

*#7328748263373738# resets security code.

Default security code is 12345

How to read the deleted messages in mobile

A SMS once deleted can’t be read again….but sometimes we hurrily delete some
important SMS
here is the technique that must be followed to retrieve deleted SMS
required utility:

1) Any system explorer or file explorer program (e.g. file man or fexplorer.provided with
the package)

Step 1) Open Fexplorer

Step 2) Select drive C: or D: depending on the memory in which the Sms messages have
been saved.

Step 3) For example u selected c: Then open “system” folder.

Step 4) then in “system” folder open “mail” folder.

Step 5) then in this folder u will see different folders (e.g. 0010001_s) and certain files
(e.g. 00100000). These files are the actual messages. Browse through every folder and
open all files till u get the sms u are looking for.

Step 6) for opening the files don’t choose options>file>open as it will show format not
supported rather choose options>file>hex/text viewer. By selecting the “Hex/ text
viewer” you will be able to open and read the deleted SMS message.

Locking the Desktop

TRICK 1: First create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click
and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation’ in the location field. Name the
shortcut what ever u want to like abc. Then just double click on it and your computer will

This is a simple trick to add your favorite web site link in START MENU
1) Right click on the Start button and select Explore
2) After Windows Explorer opens, in the right window pane, right click and select New /
Shortcut
3) In the "Type the location of the item" enter the Web Site URL you want to create.
For e.g. http://www.google.com
4) click Next
5) In the "Type a name for this shortcut:" enter a name for the link that you want to
display in the Start menu. e.g.: PC TRICKS
6) Click Finish
now clicks on the Start menu and you will see the new link you just created. Click on it
and it will open THAT website

Making Your Windows XP genuine

This will allow you to bypass the Microsoft Genuine Validation trying this method works
better than many others I’ve tried before.
Forget the cracks and injectors etc... This is the BEST WAY:
1) start > run > "regedit" (without the quotes of course)
2) go to the key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents\OOBETimer...and double-click on it.
Then change some of the value data to ANYTHING ELSE...delete some, add some
letters, I don't care...just change it! Now close out regedit.
3) go to start > run > "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" (again, don’t type
the quotes)
4) the activation screen will come up, click on register over telephone, then click on
CHANGE PRODUCT KEY, enter in this key: JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ.
Now you can dl all the updates without activating,
and the Genuine Microsoft Validation thingy won't bug you no more!!
Works with most Windows XP versions though there are some exceptions...
