School has grant from major computer manufacturer to replace all school computers in summer of 2013. Includes fully functional classroom designed for international collaboration. Most administrative processes are paperless. Gradebook, most communications, faculty meeting agendas etc are all paperless. Discipline referrals, field trip requests, purchase orders still on paper. Systems that area available are there for all staff at home and at school. Teachers very consistently utilize web-based tools for news and project based instruction. 8 out of 10 said they use technological tools daily. Resources provided by school are good. Not all have access consistently because of lack of overall resources available Most staff uses technology for projects not assessment. Still use paper assessments and consider scantron as technology

School has not invested much in assessment techniques using technology. Do have web-based quiz technology but little else Curriculum is dependent on limited technology. Most need powerpoints and projectors. Many use interactive whiteboards, but curriculum is not different. Some classes use it for almost everything. Technology is available for teacher use in almost all areas, just goes unused. Could use wireless with smartphones, available in all areas Technology is necessary for teachers, gradebook, communication, lesson plans are all online 100% Teachers have access to much technology for basic needs. All teachers have laptops and school great about getting needed technologies. Students frequently use school network, have great access, but it is not usually for curricular use. Usually it is used to supplement current lessons

Training

behavioral

Lack of computers for students in school make it difficult for many students to have regular access. Very few people involved in the planning process. Administration keeps stakeholders updated, but allow little input. Only administration and a select few teachers are involved in the technology purchase and implementation at the school. When new technology is rolled out administration usually helps with training themselves, including going around to each teacher's room to make sure all understand how to use the technology and it is connected properly. Administrators use some faculty meeting time to introduce technology and then allow more time, usually outside regular school hours. School provides "Techno-Tuesday" sessions where training is done every Tuesday. Many have been cancelled due to lack of interest. Almost always the same 5 or 6 teachers (8%)

Training is available, done weekly, and on staff development days twice a year, and during faculty meeting. Most training is informal by mentors and peers. Some try to use only peers to solve technological issues. Many use formal, fulltime technology person. Full time is available during school hours and school purchased access to 24-hour support teachers can call from Dell. Staff uses area networks for all parts of instruction. Data network is extensive will all student information and grades etc online. Networks are capable of video conferencing but very few use it. Has been proven, some use skype and Microsoft Lync with video conferencing capability. Same as local area, district wide networking very valuable. Often teachers between schools share quizzes and tests online.

District has provided more than enough high-speed lines, video and data capacity for school. Have placed wireless access points in every classroom in the school. No slow-down is noticed and all teachers have enough bandwidth for video streaming in classrooms. Internet is used very regularly. It is often integrated into curriculum, some use is based on individual students, but almost all students and teachers use internet regularly. Wireless internet is in every room and in almost all out buildings (stadium, fieldhouse, gym, etc..). Email use is very frequent as school does not have phones in teacher rooms, so it is only form of communication with parentsor guardians outside school. Used sometimes as a learning activity (mainly gmail for google drive). All students and staff have email access (students have gmail account set up through school)

Comprehensive Technologies

Most staff is very receptive to new technology. They do not always incorporate immediately, and it isn't always fully incorporated, but most are willing to try. If technology is useful in their classroom, teachers will use it quickly. Interactive white boards are used in almost all classrooms along with hypercams. Available technology is used by teachers and students and administration. Email, interoffice communicator, etc. Technology use is very extensive as it is used in all classrooms almost all day. It is somewhat limited and some teachers use modern technology the same way they would have used a blackboard or older technology.
