Evaluator Comments Because of outdated computers and slow connection rates technology is mostly ignored. A formal policy exists and has been approved. The plan is informal and budget driven. Informal plan with little or no projects. Relatively simple resources provided by textbook companies. No new technology is planned beyond 2012 besides CAVS units. The daily use of administrative systems include attendance, grades, assessment, behavior incident reports, and staff absences. Most paper systems have been eliminated. The administrative systems are available to most administrators and staff. The staff and students rely somewhat on information resources but they can work around them easily if systems are not available. Resources are available to most students most times but lack depth. The resources do not allow independent thinking. Students are assessed each quarter on reading only the program is called Fair Testing and it is only accessible in the technology classroom.

The online testing available is a reading based assessment only. The student's reading, math, and science textbooks are available online but they are not interactive. The student's reading, math, and science textbooks are available online but they are not interactive. Teachers will occasionally use the online text instead of a document camera or transparency. However, not all teachers have that technology. Each teacher in the district is given a laptop for the school year. Students use technology in their math and reading centers for enrichment. Few students have consistent and regular access to appropriate technologies. Some of the groups are aware of the planning and implementation procedure, most in the trenches however are not involved. Teachers are never involved in planning and implementation. Only district makes planning and implementation plans. Only district makes planning and implementation plans. There is limited training from the textbook companies and only when a new text is introduced.

There is little or no training on technology. Most the staff will solve what problems they can and access tech support as a last resort. Tech support is slow to respond so most try to solve their tech issues themselves. Usually only print sharing is used and no data. Slow network. Staff use is limited to data. Several data services are available but not at high-speed. Although the staff and students use the internet frequently it is not built in to the curriculum. Slow network. Email is used frequently. Email is available to all staff but no students. New technologies are rarely experimented with and usually soon forgotten. New technologies are rarely experimented with and usually soon forgotten. Technology is limited to overheads, VHRs, VDVs, Computers, some CAV units and document cameras. Technology is under utilized.
