Storage Engineer General Summary The Storage Engineer is responsible for the Operational Support of Storage Arrays and

Associated Fibre Channel Fabric Networks including Storage Provisioning, Fibre Channel Fabric Zoning, Performance analysis and Storage Migrations. This position is also responsible for providing Storage Allocation Reports on a monthly basis or On-Demand as necessary. The Storage Team works in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who is highly motivated with good interpersonal skills, excellent technical skills and has previous experience working with EMC DMX/CX and Centera Storage, NetApp Storage and Brocade Fibre Channel Switches as well as Storage Software skills with EMC ECC, SRDF, TimeFinder and NetApp Operations Manager, HP XP, EVA. MSA and HDS USPV Storage, Brocade or McData Fibre Channel Switches as well as Storage Software skills with HP Storage Essentials , SSSU, Raidmanager , Business copy , RSM , Shadow image and Recoverpoint. A working knowledge of IBM SVC is a plus. Education/Skills/Experience Required Solid background and technical depth with storage and data protections technologies. This should include knowledge of EMC, Hitachi, and NetApp Storage and an overall good technical understanding of Hosting / Cloud technologies. The qualified candidate will have 5 to 10 years experience and have experience managing technical delivery teams in the services business. They must speak English fluently and have good client facing skills. A 4 year college degree is preferred Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Requires at least 5 years experience in Storage Management with technical knowledge in any of the following: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. HDS USPV, USP, 9990, 9980, Storage Navigator, Device Manager, Tuning Manager, Performance Monitor RecoverPoint SVC Fibre Channel Director Class switches, Brocade or Cisco HP XP, EVA, MSA, Storage Essentials, Business copy HDS USPV, USP, 9990, 9980, Storage Navigator, Device Manager, Tuning Manager, Performance Monitor RecoverPoint SVC NETAPP Configuration/management of Ops Manager Knowledge of SnapManager for SQL, Oracle, etc Configuration/management of CIFS/NFS in Netapp environment Configuration/management of FCP in Netapp environment Configuration/management of iSCSI in Netapp environment Implementation/configuration of disk based backups using Snapvault Configuration/management of NDMP Configuration/Management of replication using snapmirror, snapshots Aggregate, Volume and Qtree Management Knowledge of upgrades related to Ontap, Shelf, Disks, etc EMC DMX3, DMX4, CX4 Network Appliance: NAS, FC, Operations Manager Fibre Channel Director Class: Brocade Knowledge of various operating systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. VISIO experience a plus. Should have knowledge of service ticket requests. i.e. Peregrine, Remedy, etc.
