    San Juan Elementary School held its Brigada Eskwela 2013 from May 6-10 to prepare their classrooms and facilities for the opening of classes in June. Over 100 volunteers including teachers, parents, students and local government officials participated in the week-long activities such as cleaning drives, repairing and painting of furniture, tree planting and beautification projects. The implementation was deemed a success with maximum community participation. Statistical data showed improvements made with donations of over PHP 100,000. It was recommended to promote the school program more widely to attract more volunteers and revive the bayanihan spirit.
