NARRATIVE REPORT ON BRIGADA ESKWELA S.Y. 2022-2023

The school is an institution which is responsible in molding the learners into a responsible
individual in the society. This is where one is crafted into a better person, who will be an emblem
of the kind of learning center where he was raised. The multifarious concern of school demands
working with others to accomplish designed tasks and objectives. These would need dedicated
school personnel, cooperative parents, accountable community and innovative learners.
Educators believe that environment plays a big part in students’ learning. And so, if classrooms
are not conducive to learning because of poor condition and some defective school facilities,
education is hindered. The Department of Education conducted this year’s Brigada Eskwela, also
known as the National Schools Maintenance where all education stakeholders contributed their
time, effort and resources in ensuring that the school facilities are ready in time for the school
opening. Parents, school alumni and other people from the community were encouraged to join
the long annual program.

Early morning of August 15, 2022, the first day of Brigada Eskwela, teachers, stakeholders
and NGOs participated on the Brigada Eskwela Kick Off. The teachers and school head
participated and even some stakeholders were there too, to support the Brigada Eskwela.
Opening program was conducted in our very own school. Which is attended by the parents,
teachers and school head to make sure that the Brigada Eskwela will be conducted successfully.
During the opening program in our school, the in charge of Brigada Eskwela talk about everything
about the schedules, work assignment and other concerns for Brigada Eskwela. After the
program, teachers and volunteers from different organizations went to their respective tasks.
Volunteers willingly help our school in cleaning, removing of unnecessary grasses and fixing the
decorations in our garden. Some volunteers from Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) also help in
ensuring the safety of classrooms in our school. Many parents, teachers and students who came
were ready and able brigade included eager teachers, enthusiastic parents, excited students, and
other concern people of the community.

The school also commended the presence and active participation of the parents who
exerted much effort for the beautification and safety of the school which benefits their children. For
their timeless effort, the school awarded them a certificate of participation. But the whole Brigada
Eskwela would not be completely successful if it’s not by the teachers’ unending love for the
school community and especially for the learners’ sake. Of all the efforts exerted by the
community, teachers deliver more of it. They also had to go through painting, repairing, gardening,
cleaning and beautifying their respective classrooms. Thus, of all the tiring days during Brigada
Eskwela, it was all worth the sweaty efforts. Teachers also received certificates commending their
active participations. It was truly a success and all worth it. The school is now ready for the
opening of classes. Indeed, it is literally true that we can succeed best and quickest by helping
others to succeed.
