    " Turmeric 4tbsp! Water as needed! Form the shape of Pillaiyar and keep kumkum as shown ! 2. prepare a plate with Kamatchi Vilakku!

    3. Prepare Rosewater in the Pannir Sombu and Sandal power in the Santhana Kinnam!

    4. Prepare Archathai!

    " Rice # cup! Turmeric - 1tbsp! Water as needed ! Mix the three and keep with the Sandal and Kumkum!

    5. Arathi Plate!

    " Sunnambu (Lime Stone) Small size! Turmeric -1tbsp! Water! o Mix all the three to get the red color! Betel Leaf! Dried Red Chillies 3! 6. Gifts:!

    " Bangle! Solid Turmeric! Kumkum! Flower! Sweets! Murukku! Chocolates!

    Play gifts for the kids!

    Valaikappu/Seemantham Function:! Mother-to-be will be dressed in a Silk Saree that is not new.! She will be wearing the following bangles in this order! o Silver Bangle! o Neem Bangle! o 5-Metal Bangle! o Glass Bangle! She will light a plate of lamps !

    ! She will enter the arena with the lighted lamps!

    To begin the ceremony, a mother who is elder to the Mother-to-be will be doing the following followed by others! o Take the Wet Sandalwood and apply on Mother-to-bes cheeks, forehead and chin !

    ! Then, apply the wet sandalwood on her hands!

    Then, apply the wet sandalwood on her feet!

    ! Put a few bangles on both the hands of the Mother-to-be!

    ! After putting the bangles, use the arathi and circle before the face of the Mother-to-be three times!

    Dip the index nger in the arathi and on Mother-to-bes forehead

    ! The last person to do the sequence will be using the Gold bangles!

    " ! After everybody is done, All the ladies in the venue will be lighting the camphor in the arathi and do the arathi again!

    ! Each female in the venue will be given the prepared gift by the Mother-to-be!

    ! Mother-to-be will open her saree end(munthanai) place betel leaf, areca nut, Murukku, fruits, ower, chocolate in it. ! She will proceed to the worship place, pray and she will distribute the gifts to the kids!

    Food to prepare:! 1. Sweet/Sugar/Sakkarai Pongal! 2. Lemon rice ! 3. Tamarind Rice ! 4. Tomato Rice ! 5. Coconut Rice ! 6. Mint Rice ! 7. Yogurt Rice!
