    DME Administration customization . This question is Assumed Answered.

    Ranjita Kar Silver Ranjita Kar 16-Sep-2009 07:40 Hi All, I need some customizations to be done in my payment program . This problem is related to the DME Administration . As per the requirement I created a DMEE TREE under PAYM and I have uned this tree in Payment meduim workbench . And the payment program runs fine for multiple payments . Currently the payment program produces an output file where I get the details of only 1 payment made, even if the payment program processes 3 invoices . And my requirement is how do we download all the payment details into the file .

    Kind help needed in this .

    You need to try this -

    Create an element group as level below the payment information and assign it Level 3 (a different level to the one existing for payment). Assign the relevant details you want to capture for the invoices. In the DMEE tree properties, you will have a tab "Levels". Here you maintain level 3 (or any other level you have assigned) and repetition factor, you can give 999). Please do revert in case of clarification. Let me tell you the way I have created the format tree and also I have maintained the DMEE Properties in Level Tab . - DMEE TREE Properties - Segment - Element 1 - Element 2 - Element 3 and basicaly my output file (.txt ) displays the details of only one payment if at all the transaction has made 3 payments . for say : vendor name, payment date , amount but I wanted it like .. vendor name, payment date , amount1 vendor name, payment date , amount 2 vendor name, payment date , amount 3

    Please let me know how to achieve this .

    My mistake - it will be segment only and not element group. I assume you would have got a tree structure from the bank. Normally, there will be segments for 1 File header (file name and other details) 2 Payment header (say the paying company name, paying company account, authorised by etc 3 Payment details (say the cheque no, vendor name, vendor account) 4 Paid document details (invoice no, amount, deductions etc). This can be created as a subnode of 3. Each of these segments will be assigned a level in the Node Information. As per the xample above, the no. indicated is the level for the segment (the details in the brackets are the elements). In the DMEE tree: prperties, you will have a tab for Level on the right side. There you can maintain how many times, the segment of that level can be repeated. In my example above i can maintain that level 1 and 2 will have repetition factor only 1 and the remaining will have 999. This will allow you to have multiple payments (level 3) and also display multiple invoices paid detaills for one payment (level4).

    Please revert for clarifications.

    What you mentioned is correct. And as per the logic mentioned by you , we also might be abe to repeat the records if they are in some other format . For example : If my DMEE Tree structure is like : - DMEE tree properties ( this is the main root node autogenerated ) - segment - element1 - element 2 - element 3 - element 4 And I have provided the level to node segment and also filled the repetition factor as 99999 in the Level TAB . But when I run the transaction I get only one record . ( provided the level as 1)

    The thing when you repeat is there has to be a sort field too. You are repeating for node 1 but the element that you use to sort has to be repeated. For example, if the sort field for a level is vendor, only

    one line for the vendor will be displayed. Where as if you create a level 2 below it and give a sort field "check no" , the sub node will be repeated for the same vendor whenever the check no changes. Please revert for clarification.
