HR questions will act as your fundamentals in any selection process, be it interviews for placements, inter B-schools competitions or any other industry interface that you might have. These questions are worded in a fashion which might make them sound similar but each question is unique in itself. Each question tries to test specific qualities in you and checks whether or not you fit into a particular situation, project or an organisation. 1. You will have to submit 4 questions each day for 6 consecutive days henceforth. The question to be selected should be sequential i.e. Q1-Q4 on day 1, Q5-Q8 on day 2 and so on. 2. The answers should be mailed to induction2012@jbims.edu before 23.59.59 each day starting 3rd August, 2010 3. The mail subject line and filename should be of the format
HR_DAY1,2,3,4,5,6_Firstname_Lastname.docx 4. Take each question very seriously. All the questions have been given at one go so that you can think of different situations for each other the given question. 5. DO NOT REPEAT ANY INSTANCES / EXAMPLES IN YOUR ANSWERS. 6. Word Limit for each of the Questions is minimum 250 words 7. Incidents mentioned need not be from any specific area such as work experience or college, they may also be personal. However they should be convincing and true.

Justify your choice. 4. What are your short term and long term goals? How do you plan to achieve them? 5. Mention your three major strengths. Give an instance where any of the strengths mentioned above has helped you achieve success and how? 6. Mention your major areas of improvement. What steps are you taking to improve on these? 7. Describe one situation where you have led a group successfully. 8. Recommend any book to us. Please mention how the book impacted you personally and why others should read it. 9. Tell us who your role model is and why? 10. Describe a situation when you were in a dilemma and could solve it. 11. Give an example of a time in which you worked under deadline pressure. 12. What would you consider your major achievement in your academic/professional life? 13. Describe the most challenging assignment you have undertaken with specific references to your role in it and the outcome. 14. Describe a situation where you had to manage conflict and how. 15. What do you get passionate about? 16. What is your opinion on ethics? Substantiate with examples 17. Give an example of something that you have done that shows initiative.
18. What makes you stand out among your fellow students? 19. Please give an instance where you experienced satisfaction on achieving a goal through patience, perseverance and hard work. 20. Please give an example of an original, creative idea from you, which was appreciated by others. 21. Describe the most disappointing and frustrating experience in gaining the support of others for an idea or proposal 22. What motivates you to put forth your best effort?
