Compaction Test

This document contains the results of several tests measuring the moisture content and density of soil samples using both laboratory and field compaction tests. The laboratory tests determined the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content of the soil to be 2039kg/m3 and 10.2% respectively. The field tests used the sand-cone method to find the in-situ dry density and moisture content of soil samples, then calculated the relative compaction compared to the baseline dry density. Relative compaction ranged from 95.4% to 102.7% across the three test locations.
