Subject: Purestream BESST Sewage Treatment Plant
Dear Minzi:
Pursuant to our recent telephone conversation, we are pleased to offer the following
equipment proposal for your consideration:
20,000 GPD - Biologically Engineered Single Sludge Treatment (BESST) System
One (1) - Purestream ES Biologically Engineered Single Sludge Treatment
(BESST) System, Prefabricated Steel Sewage Treatment Plant capable
of treating 20,000 Gallons Per Day of domestic sewage with a strength

of 240 mg/l BOD , 240 mg/l TSS, and 25 mg/l NH N down to discharge

limits of 5 mg/l BOD, 10 mg/l TSS and 1 mg/l NH N at a minimum
wastewater temperature of 10E C.
The treatment plant shall be as manufactured by PURESTREAM ES,
LLC., Walton, Kentucky and shall consist of all necessary tanks, weirs,
baffles, internal piping and the following items:
A.) One (1) - Anoxic Tank with a volume of 5,800 gallons.
Within this tank there shall be a submerged bar
screen, two (2) 3" dia. airlift sludge pumps and two
(2) 1.9 HP submersible mixers.
B.) One (1) - Aeration Reactor Tank having a total volume of
8,400 gallons and complete with diffused aeration
piping and fine bubble air diffusers.
C.) One (1) - Sludge Blanket Clarifier integral to the Anoxic and
Aeration Reactor Tank having a total capacity of
4,900 gallons, complete with baffled effluent
trough with adjustable weir plate.

D.) One (1) - 3,400 gallon aerated Sludge Holding Tank, integral
to the treatment plant.
E.) Two (2) - Kaeser Model BB53P Omega-paK Plus
Blower/Motor units with TEFC motors, 3 HP, 230
volt, 3 phase, 60 Hz, rated at 54 CFM @ 5 PSIG,
with integral frame/sound enclosure, inlet
filter/silencers, discharge silencers, check valves,
flexible connectors, and pressure relief valves.
One (1) blower required for operation, one (1)
blower standby.
F.) One (1) - Purestream, Inc. Model PST - 14 Dual Bed, Dual
Media Prefabricated Steel Tertiary Filter complete
with all internal weirs, baffles, and piping for and
including the following:
1.) Two (2) - 7.0 square foot each, rapid
gravity sand filters complete with 12 inches
of 1.2 mm sand and 20 inches of 2.0 mm
anthracite, air scour facility and backwash
system.
2.) One (1) - 1,120 Gallon Clearwell complete
with duplex 1/2 HP backwash pumps.
3.) One (1) - 1,120 Gallon Backwash Surge
Tank complete with 1/2 HP backwash
surge pumps.
4.) One (1) - Kaeser Omega-paK Plus 3 HP Air
Scour blower/motor unit with accessories.
5.) One (1) - Ultraviolet disinfection/Post
aeration chamber complete with UV
mounting arrangement, post aeration
diffuser drop and diffusers, solenoid valve,
and one (1) open channel ultraviolet
disinfection system consisting of two (2)
100% capacity stainless steel channels, UV
lamps and NEMA 4X control panel with UV
intensity monitoring.

G.) One (1) - Prewired NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosure control
panel complete with motor starters, circuit

H.) One (1) - Galvanized steel safety grating panels to cover all

one (1) coat of TNEMEC Series 69 polyamide
epoxy paint, gray color to 8 mils DFT.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS QUOTATION AND SHALL BE
PROVIDED BY OTHERS. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LIST IS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE AND
ONLY THE ITEMS SPECIFICALLY LISTED WITHIN THIS PROPOSAL ARE INCLUDED:

The equipment price also includes one (1) day of service covered in one (1) trip to start-up and
adjust the equipment for site conditions. Any additional service required will be charged a per
diem rate of $750.00 per eight (8) hour day plus all incurred expenses. All services offered
shall be done by a factory trained technician.

Submittal drawings and data shall be available in four (4) weeks after receipt of order.
Shipment time shall be twelve (12) to fourteen (14) weeks after receipt of order, approved
submittal data and equipment release.
The price quoted shall be firm for sixty (60) days from date of this proposal. After this time
material and labor escalation may apply.
Payment Terms: 10% upon order;
40% upon release for fabrication;
40% at time of delivery;
10% retained for equipment start-up, not to exceed 90 days from date of
shipment.
