Watermelons: Local farms
in Delaware and Maryland are
shipping these summer favor-
ites at best-of-the-season
prices.

Cantaloupes &
Honeydews: Mid-coast
California contnues to
source melons with the
highest sugar content of
the year! We have local
melons too!

Leafy Items: Romaine,
green leaf, red leaf, boston
and parsley are all in good
supply with reliable prices.

Spring Mix, Mesculin,
Baby & Se-stemmed
Spinach : Good supplies and
prices for crispy salads.
Caulifower: Favorable
weather conditons in the
west have brought us ample
quanttes and excellent
quality on caulifower.
When was the last tme
caulifower was a good buy?
How about roastng some
with red peppers as an eye-
popping side dish?

Celery: The felds in Salinas
area are serving up acres of
perfectly crisp and aromatc
celery stalks.

Artchokes: Not only are
these veggies beautful and
great tastng, but they also
have an added beneft of
lowering blood pressure!

Tomatoes: We stll have
excellent supplies of beef-
steak tomatoes and heir-
looms coming in daily. Cher-
ries, as well!
WATCH
Lemons: We contnue to
struggle to bring you our
quality and volume standards
on this important summer
ingredient. The market is very
thin and the prices are higher
than normal. One piece of
good news: our packaging is
very generous and the boxes
are loaded to be 105% full.
We assure you that you will
get your moneys worth!

Cherries: It was not a good
year for cherries and the sea-
son ended very abruptly. We
are completely out.

Blackberries: Demand
exceeds supply as the local
season quickly winds down.
Westmoreland is fnished and
Cole Berry Farm has one week
lef.

Blueberries: The recent rain
storms really beat up the
remaining blueberries. We
have moved to Canada for our
quality and volume needs.
This has led to higher prices
but the favor and plumpness
is worth it!

Romaine Hearts: We are
back in the woods on the
price of romaine hearts. This
is a diferent crop from ro-
maine letuce. This is grown
on separate felds and in short
supply.
KEEP IN MIND
Asparagus: All sizes are available
with good quality this week out of
Peru.
Avocados: Be aware that the
high volume and butery quality
we have recently seen is startng
to wind down. Prices are holding
steady so far but this is one item
to keep an eye on.
Raspberries & Strawberries:
We are getng gorgeously plump
and tart raspberries from Califor-
nia this week. Some cloudy days
in the growing region are not
allowing enough size to develop.

Grapes: Red, white, lunch bunch
and champagne grapes are in
good supply and great quality
with steady pricing.

Broccoli & Broccoli Crowns:
The price has contnued to ramp
up and we expect this to contn-
ue. Upward pressure and availa-
bility tghtens.

Leeks & Brussels Sprouts: This
is rare, but the supply this week is
ample so order up!

Red & Yellow Peppers: Prices
contnue to improve slightly with
good supplies out of Southern
California.
