ABOUT THE CENTRE
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course has been developed for IT professionals or information systems auditors who are working
towards obtaining ISACAs Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) status.
While there are no formal pre-requisites, it is recommended that anyone attending does have a prior
knowledge of information systems or audit and assurance.
This is NOT an introduction to IS Audit course.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course is delivered in two discrete sections:
- A three day review course which will cover the material contained in the CISA review manual. This
will be delivered by lecture, although there will be plenty of time to focus on areas of concern for
individuals.
- A two day exam preparation course which will concentrate on banks of CISA questions. This will be
delivered in workshop mode with delegates attempting upwards of 500 questions over the two days.
- Both sections are structured in a similar manner to the ISACA syllabus and an appropriate amount
of time is spent of each:
The Process of Auditing Information Systems (14%)
Governance and Management of IT (14%)
Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation (19%)
Information Systems Operations, Maintenance and Support (23%)
Protection of Information Assets (30%)
Delegates may attend either or both of the sections. Those attending both will receive a 150
discount on the cost.
NOTE: Whilst delegates are provided with a comprehensive set of course slides, it is strongly
recommended that they also purchase a copy of the CISA Review Manual, details of which can be found
at www.isaca.org.
PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION
This course is delivered independently of ISACA. It is therefore the delegates responsibility to enrol
for the CISA examination themselves directly with ISACA
Details of examination enrolment can be found at www.isaca.org.
