GITAM UNIVERSITY, HYDERABAD RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR TECHNICAL QUIZ EVENT Each batch should contain 5 members (two students from 2 nd year, two students from 3 rd
year and one student from 4 th yr ECE/EIE/EC-5). Form the groups yourself according to the above rule. Final year student will be the group leader. Prelims will be conducted depending on the number of batches. Total three rounds will be conducted.
Elimination Round-1 (General Round) one question will be asked to each group, if answered correctly 10 marks will be awarded. If not answered, question will be passed to next group and 5 marks will be awarded if they answered correctly. Elimination Round-2 (visual round) -- one question will be asked to each group, if answered correctly 10 marks will be awarded. If not answered, question will be passed to next group and 5 marks will be awarded if they answered correctly. Final round (Buzzer round) Total 20 questions will be asked. Chance will be given to the batch whoever presses the buzzer first. If the answer is correct 10 marks will be awarded. If answer is not correct 5 marks will be deducted. We present before you, the unbeaten circuit debugging Rules: 1) The participants are not allowed to bring any components as well as programmable calculators. The necessary components and materials for the event will be supplied by the organizers. 2) The maximum number of participants in a team will be two. 3) The participants should produce valid ID cards. 4) Participants bear the whole responsibility of their components and equipment and will be fined if damaged. Scoring rules: 1) Prelims will be included as per the strength of participants. 2) The first position will be secured by the team who clears all the bugs within the circuit in the least time. 3) Points will be awarded during the event. 4) If no team clears all the errors within the allotted time, the first position will be given to the team who scores the maximum points. 5) The participants must report every half an hour, to the concerned person about the bugs cleared. 5 points will be awarded, if the cleared bug is correct and 3 points will be deducted, if its wrong. The total points secured by each team will be calculated at the end of session and prizes will be awarded accordingly. 6) Total allotted time: 3 hrs. Rights of organizers committee: 1) The organizer has the right to amend any of the above said rules for the fair play. 2) Organizers decision will be final and no further arguments are entertained.

If the registered students are more than 8 per year, an aptitude test will be conducted. Top 8 students will be short listed from each year. From the short listed student we will form groups according to 1 st rule. The test will be conducted on 08 th SEPTEMBER 2012.
Total 3 rounds will be conducted. First and second rounds are eliminated rounds. From each round 2 groups will be eliminated. Only 4 groups will be participating in the final round.
The duration for each question to answer is 90 sec.

From each group question will be given to one student, he has to sketch the answer related to the question (without using alphabets, numbers and special characters) then other students within the group should give answer. He should not speak about the answer. Total 3 rounds will be conducted. First Round: In this round two questions will be given to each group and if they answer correctly 10 marks will awarded. No passing of question to other groups. In this round basic questions related to your technical subjects. Second Round: In this round two questions will be given to each group and if they answer correctly 10 marks will awarded. No passing of question to other groups. In this round output waveforms related to your technical subjects. Third Round: In this round three questions will be given to each group and if they answer correctly 10 marks will awarded. No passing of question to other groups. In this round circuits related to your technical subjects. If anybody use alphabets, numbers, special characters and speak about the answer 5 marks will be deducted from that group.
