Caroline School, the building has become a buzz of excitement and anticipation for all of
the warm-weather activities ahead. Whether it be staff or students, everyone is anxious
to enjoy our beautiful surroundings, so parents, be on the lookout for field trip permission
forms that will be soon coming your way!

I would like to congratulate the senior high students on a very successful first semester.
The end of January was a grueling, nerve-wracking time for you, but I promise that all
the hard work will not go unrewarded. As the sun begins to shine, I realize that school
work often takes a back seat to more enjoyable activities but please hang in there
June exams will be here before you know it. I promise, keeping up with your studies now
is much easier than catching up later.
Good luck to all of our athletic teams that are entering their playoffs in the next couple
weeks. You have all been great ambassadors of our school and community and we wish
you all the best. Students keep a close eye on the notice boards and announcements as
the next sports and intramurals will be beginning shortly.
Students, staff, parents, and community thank you for all your hard work thus far this
year as you all continue to make Caroline School an envious place to be within our
school division!
Sincerely,
Mr. Dean Pilipchuk
Principal
Caroline School

ELEMENTARY SKI TRIP

Rutschke would like to thank our amazing parents who come out every
year to help with supervising on the hill skiing and also in the rental shop
and lobby. Without the following people, we could never offer these
awe-inspiring extra curricular activities--special thanks go out to:
Grade 4 helpers Ms Leclercq, Ms Maxwell( Coden), Mrs. Bystrom, Mrs.
Foesier (Nick and Jared), Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Nickerson (Bradley), Grade 5
helpers--Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Nafziger,, Mr. Edel and Gr. 6 helpers--Mrs.
Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Pengelly, Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Butts,
Many thanks to all of you from students and teachers at Caroline School.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Our bi-annual Jump Rope for Heart Event is happening on Thurs. March 12 in the gym from
3:45--5:00pm. All permission forms are received and we have 60 jumpers raising money for the
Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation. Please sponsor any of our jumpers in their endeavor to raise
funds and also to help earn Heart Smart Points for PE equipment.
Thanks to all the parents who have offered to send snacks or set up the event.
Mrs. Godwin/Mrs. Tarnasky will be getting in touch with you regarding this in the next week.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR RETURNS!

We will be hosting the Spring edition of the Scholastic Book Fair, on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, March 24-26.
The book fair will be open for 2 FULL DAYS, from 8 am to 7 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, to coincide with Parent
Teacher Interviews. Thursdays hours are 8:00 am-12:30 pm. Parents, grandparents, community members etc. are
welcome to come in to the library anytime throughout the day. Students are not permitted to attend book fair during
class times, but are encouraged to attend in the morning before class, at their lunch break, and after school.
As always, there are book prize draws for each grade/class, and a grand prize winner, who receives $25 in free books
for themselves and also for their classroom.
Wednesday evening, we will have our FAMILY EVENT, where there will be an extra draw and a live appearance by
one of our favourite book characters.
There will be books for all ages! Please come and support this terrific fundraiser! The Caroline School Library receives
about 60% of the total sales of the book fair, in free books for our library. We need to keep our library stocked up with
great books for our students!
**If you are sending money in with your child, please ensure that they have instructions about how much they are to
spend, and if they are allowed to buy things for their friends. Also, it would be very much appreciated, especially with
the younger students who arent counting money yet, if this was done at home beforehand, rather than sending
baggies & wallets full of change. This would save a lot of time when the students are lined up to pay for their
purchases. Thanks so much!

PEP RALLY - Wednesday March 4th
