The key takeaways are that the researchers used references from the library and internet to support their study, and collected data using questionnaires and descriptive statistics.

The researchers used references from the library and internet as research instruments to support their study.

A questionnaire is used as a statistical tool in research to gather information related to the study through questions.

Research Instruments

The value of this research will not be complete if it did not use any
reference to support the study by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating the
problems and issues regarding the topic conducted.
The researchers used some reference in the library to give an answer
to their queries, to enlighten their minds regarding the study and to prove
the ideas and concepts used in the study. They patiently browsed books and
spared their most time in finding facts and ideas that will support the study.
They carefully and religiously scrutinized the possible ideas and
concepts that were included in the materials which are found the University
library with all its relevance, validity and truthfulness.
The resources (REFERENCES) can be seen and found at the latter part of this
research.

INTERNET
This is called the interlinked of network of networks where you can
see the power that a computer has the ability to access and to connect from
the different links and information around the world. This is how computer
and internet work. It make all things visible, reliable and touchable meaning
it can make things possible. Internet also has the ability to communicate and
to exchange information in whenever and wherever computer you are using
it with. Through the use of the World Wide Web (www), it gives your bulky yet
relevant information which you can use to support your studies. With the
used of it, students nowadays can timelessly and efficiently access it at their
convenience. However, it is also important to assess and to filter the
information that the World Wide Web tries to give you because some of them
contain fallacious and delusion information, and as a researcher or the ones
who are using it let us be assertive in every way possible.
QUESTIONNAIRE
The researcher used questionnaire as a statistical tool for this research.
This tool includes the different and possible questions that will surely or
frequently ask regarding the study conducted, for the research to be more
comprehensible and understandable. The questions posted are connected to
the study being conducted which will give answers to the problems that this
study contains.

The questionnaires are shared to and answered by the respondents

and the researcher diligently gathered and summarized the answers all the
questions being thrown.
DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURES
Before floating the questionnaire, the researcher asked permission
from the University Dean of the College of Teacher Education of the same
university to undertake the study among the students of the College. Upon
approval, the researcher requested the English teachers to assist in the
floating of the questionnaire.
Elicitation techniques as suggested by Freeman and Long (1991) were
used to gather the influence on how mobile phones enhance the vocabulary
development of the students.
Checklist is another method used in which the respondents checked
the rate of frequency towards their attitude and behaviors of the statement
presented. Descriptors are categorized according to the rate of frequency in
line with the possible statements that best describe the attitude or behavior
of the respondents. A free writing task was given to the students as second
part of their questionnaire. They were asked on how the mobile phone affects
and enhances their vocabulary.

Statistical Treatment Data

Data

were

collated,

summarized

and

tabulated.

These

were

categorized and described by computing descriptive statistics. These

statistics are given to the analysis of data that helps describe, show or
summarize data in a meaningful way such that, patterns might emerge from
the data.

These statistics included the frequency counts and descriptors

which are very important because if it simply presented raw data it would be
hard to visualize what the data was showing. It therefore, enabled to present
the data in a meaningful way, and which allows simpler interpretation of the
data.
