QUADRATIC EQUATIONS
Quadratic Equations: A quadratic equation in the variable x is an equation of the form
ax 2 + bx + c = 0 where a, b, c are real numbers and a 0
(Or)
Any equation of the form P(x) = 0 Where P(x) is polynomial of degree 2 is a quadratic
equation.
ax 2 + bx + c = 0 is called the standard form of the quadratic equation
y = ax 2 + bx + c is called quadratic function

To factorize a quadratic equation a x + b x + c = 0 we find p , q R such that
p + q = b and pq = ac.
This process is called Factorising a quadratic equation by splitting its middle term.
