Two-port Network Models

A Model is an implementation of any circuit in a standard form.
Modeling represents all the circuit information in less number of parameters.

Modeling speeds up circuit simulations and calculations.

Model of a two-port Network:
Any two-port network (circuit) can be
modeled in different ways.

Choice of the model depends on the

circuit behavior.
Voltage and Current polarities are
assumed as shown in the opposite figure.

Two-port Model in Voltage Amplifier Feedback

Considering a non-ideal Voltage amplifier
feedback. The feedback network has input
and output impedances.
To be able to use the previously derived
relations (relations of (1+A) of Gain, Rin,
and Rout).
Rfin and Rfout can be moved up to the main amplifier.
A new amplifier can be formed by Rs , RL Rfin
Rfout .
Now we can use the previously derived
relations for the new voltage amplifier and the
new ideal feedback amplifier.
How to get Rfin and Rfout ???

voltage as a function of its input voltage.
