Actel Communication Pvt. Ltd Telecom Project Manager-Pakistan

Actel Egyptian telecom multinational, providing telecom services in Middle East, Africa and south Asia. I
have been working in Actel as Project Manager-Pakistan and Acting Head of Telecom Department
since May- 2008. Currently running the Radio Network Optimization Projects nation wide and also
responsible for rollout activities regarding wireless Telecommunication Projects with their overall
management. Coordination amongst all functions, Preparing schedules, Resource planning,
Correspondence with customers, vendors & team from engineering to commissioning, handling variety of
issues and ensuring project on schedule in quality, safely and cost effective manner, taking care overall

 GSM Network Audit (Signal Coverage/Capacity) Project
This Project is funded by Universal Service Fund to enhance the coverage and the capacity of the
cellular networks in rural areas of the country. Cellular network technical audit including RF/BSS/. I
have responsibilities of the RF Lead auditor for RF/BSS/TX technical Audit of the Telenor and
Warid for the USF (An organization under Pakistan Ministry of Information & Technology).This
Project includes verifying the Capacity and coverage requirements for the Remote areas. Providing
them with the facility of PCO and Tele center to connect remote areas to the Global village of
communication

Task in these projects is to test/audit/verify network coverage and capacity on optimum level.
 Ufone-Hauwei RF optimization project in South/West as a RF Rollout Manager-520 cellular

Pre- optimization and post optimization of the phase-6 and almost 180 sites already commercially
lunched and 300 on progress, managing the DT teams in 4 sub regions.

OrasInvest Company 100 % owned by Orascom Telecom and providing the services in the
Telecommunication field in Middle East and South Asia).
 Work experience of Assistant project Manager (APM) Operation Maintenance (O&M) Technical
support of Mobilink GSM network and responsible of National wide technically support teams and
monthly kpi’s more than 2400 Bts sites and managing the engineers Team nation wide. Operation
and maintenance activities can be grouped into three main categories preventive maintenance,
corrective maintenance and network operations. On the operational side, monitored activities
include network surveillance, helpdesk, support, performance management (Network Audits),
dispatch, OSS support, application management and network configuration management.

Huaxin Consulting Pakistan Co. Ltd. RF Project Manager
Since June 2005 –Oct-2007
Work experience of RNO/RNP/ RF Project Manager in Huaxin Consulting Pakistan, Business partners of
Huawei Technologies for telecom projects in Pakistan. Largest consulting company in China.
Responsibilities Include:
RF Optimization services for New and existing GSM/CDMA network. This is a continuous RF engineering
activity that ensures optimum network performance that meets the set Quality of Service (QOS) targets such
as:
Coverage of Service Area (Drive Tests), Network Performance Monitoring as Traffic statistics Engineer, Call
Success Rate, Congestion, Handover failure, speech quality, Network Utilization etc. Detect and correct
interference and overlapping issues of GSM/CDMA BTS.
Project: Huawei Technologies TK WLL (CDMA 1X2000)
Work experience as a RF project manager and team lead of Karachi and Hyderabad region RF engineers of
World call survey and Optimization in Pakistan on Huawei cdma solution.
I have vast experience of CDMA network optimization including my self as KPi analyst and bad cell
Performance improvement from OMCR in Karachi World Call wireless project and responsible for whole
Karachi/Hyderabad network optimization.

Project: PTML-Ufone Gsm -Huawei GSM/GPRS Solution

Optimization of the Ufone mobile network (GSM/GPRS) Pakistan.
Exiting Sites Drive test for call quality and coverage of Bts Nortel and siemens .Swap test of new Huawei Bts
sites and Re-optimization for optimum network performance. Now also managing Drive test teams ufone
optimization project in south region.

Radio Network Optimization for PTCL CDMA phase II.

Network optimization
 • Work as Radio Network Specialist Engineer at end level of project in OMCR responsible of south,
west and center region Bsc performance and Daily KPI reporting. BSS Parameter tuning, Neighbor
audits and Site tilt/orientation modifications in response to various optimization related issues
detected through RF Drive tests and Bad KPIs. Give Suggestion plans for up gradations of BSC,
BTS after analyzing statistical data reports from OMCR for Call Volume, Drop rates, RF Losses ,
TCH congestions, Traffic Balancing - congestion relief etc.
Frequency scanning and Interference test.
• PTCL CDMA project in its initial phase and I am involved in Frequency Scanning of the Spectrum
for 450 & 1900MHZ for PTCL CDMA in major cities of sindh.
• Tool used for Scanning is Tektronix Y400 NetTek Analyzer and Software being used is TekTronix
YBT250 Field Transmitter Tester V1.416
Frequency Propagation model for PTCL CDMA phase II.
• CW (continue wave) test. (Lahore, Karachi)
• Duties Includes: Technical site survey, Site Selection for different regions, Data Collection using
Testing Antennas, Data Simulation and Model Tuning. CW Test of 10 sites Karachi including dense
urban, urban sites work as a team leader.
