Services in the Internet
1. Telecommunication Network (Telnet) is a network
protocol used on the internet or local used on the internet. It was developed in 1969 which provides access to commandline interface on remote machine. 2. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a network protocol used to exchange and manipulate files over Transmission Control Protocol or computer such as the internet. 3. Electronic Mail (E-Mail) is a method of exchanging digital messages consist of its content, in an authors address and one or more recipients addresses. 4. Internet Relay chat (IRC) is a form of real time internet text messaging or chat. It is designed for group Communication in discussion forums, called channels, but also allows one-on-one communication via private messaging. 5. Electronic Commerce or electronic marketing is commonly known as e-commerce. It is buying and selling of products and services on-line. 6. Hosting is an internet service that runs internet servers, allowing organizations and individuals to post content of different services over the internet. 7. E-mail Listing is a special use of e-mail that allows for widespread distribution of information to many internet users. It is similar to traditional mailing list (a list of name and addresses) as might be kept by an organization for sending publications to its members or customers. 8. Search engines are part of the World Wide Web (WWW) where you can find a lot information about almost everything.
