C Simple Program Example

1. C program to check perfect number

Definition of perfect number or What is perfect number?
Perfect number is a positive number which sum of
all positive divisors excluding that number is equal to
that number. For example 6 is perfect number since divisor of
6 are 1, 2 and 3.

Sum of its divisor is

1 + 2+ 3 =6
Note: 6 is the smallest perfect number.
Next perfect number is 28 since 1+ 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 = 28
Some more perfect numbers: 496, 8128
#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
int n,i=1,sum=0;
printf("Enter a number: ");
scanf("%d",&n);
while(i<n){
if(n%i==0)
sum=sum+i;
i++;
}
if(sum==n)
printf("%d is a perfect number",i);
else
printf("%d is not a perfect number",i);
return 0;
}
Sample output:
Enter a number: 6
6 is a perfect number

Armstrong number in c with output

#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
int num,r,sum=0,temp;
printf("Enter a number: ");
scanf("%d",&num);
temp=num;
while(num!=0){
r=num%10;
num=num/10;
sum=sum+(r*r*r);
}
if(sum==temp)
printf("%d is an Armstrong number",temp);
else
printf("%d is not an Armstrong number",temp);
return 0;
}
Sample output:
Enter a number: 153
153 is an Armstrong number
C program to find given number is prime or not

printf("%d is a prime number",num);
else
printf("%d is not a prime number",num);
return 0;
}
Sample output:
Enter a number: 5
5 is a prime number
Write a c program to check whether a number is strong
or not
Definition of strong number:
A number is called strong number if sum of the
factorial of its digit is equal to number itself. For
example: 145 since
1! + 4! + 5! = 1 + 24 + 120 = 145
#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
int num,i,f,r,sum=0,temp;
printf("Enter a number: ");
scanf("%d",&num);
temp=num;
while(num){
i=1,f=1;
r=num%10;
while(i<=r){
f=f*i;
i++;
}
sum=sum+f;
num=num/10;
}

145 is a strong number
C program to find whether a number is palindrome or not
#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
int num,r,sum=0,temp;
printf("Enter a number: ");
scanf("%d",&num);
temp=num;
while(num){
r=num%10;
num=num/10;
sum=sum*10+r;
}
if(temp==sum)
printf("%d is a palindrome",temp);
else
printf("%d is not a palindrome",temp);
return 0;
}
Sample output:
Enter a number: 131
131 is a palindrome

j=f;
printf(" %ld",j);
}
return 0;
}

program for generic root
Meaning of generic root:
It sum of digits of a number unit we don't get a single
digit. For example:
Generic root of 456: 4 + 5 + 6 = 15 since 15 is two
digit numbers so 1 + 5 = 6
So, generic root of 456 = 6
#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
long int num,sum,r;
printf("\nEnter a number:-");
scanf("%ld",&num);
