Switching the headphones on and off:
Press the on/off switch (1) and hold it for approx. three seconds;
the status display (2) will flash slowly (flashing frequency: 2 Hz).
Press and hold again for approx. three seconds to switch off the
headphones.
Connecting wireless headphones:
While the headphones are switched off, press and hold the
on/off switch (1) (for approx. ten seconds) until the status display
(2) starts to flash rapidly (flashing frequency: 5 Hz).

General operation
The RSE system permissions can be adjusted using control unit 1 for information electronics at the
front of the vehicle.
This unit can be used to switch the system on and off, and to restrict or approve operation.
Note: If the system is switched off via the unit at the front, it will not be clear from the
passenger compartment why the system cannot be switched on.

The driver is able to restrict the system operation options available from the rear of the vehicle.

Approval is required from the driver if the Setup RSE tab is set to "confirm".
If the Setup RSE tab is set to "transfer", Transfer destination to front this display does not appear and the
destination will be transferred directly

Navigation using the rear units; general
The display on both rear screens is identical
this means that the zoom settings on the left-hand and right-hand units are the same, for example.
In contrast to the front unit, route criteria and points of interest can only be calculated/displayed if a route entered on
the rear units is calculated and if route guidance has been started.
It is currently not possible to select the Google Earth map display using the rear units.
The following navigation system options are not available on the rear units (apart from Delete last destinations):

The rear left passenger is listening to "Radio IN The rear right passenger has the cursor placed on
Digital". "Fantasy Bayern" (framed in brown), but is also listening
to "Radio IN Digital" selected on the left-hand unit
(framed in grey).
If the driver then changes the channel via the unit at the front of the vehicle, the driver assumes control of the
radio
Both RSE system users will then be listening to the programm selected by the driver
The most recent entry assumes control, regardless of the position from which the entry was selected
A source has been selected on the rear left unit that is already being viewed by another user. This is indicated by the
play symbol next to DVD 1 on the DVD changer. It is not possible to see who selected this source (in this case the
driver or the rear right passenger.
If the same song is now selected on the rear left unit, the rear left passenger will also be 4:02 minutes into the song. In
other words, the passenger 'jumps into' the song
If a different DVD or CD is selected on the rear left unit, the rear left and right passengers will be listening to the
source from the point at which it was selected on the rear left unit
Example 1:
The rear right passenger is listening to a CD via the vehicle loudspeaker (DVD changer)
The driver changes from another source to the radio
the source for the rear right passenger is switched to the headphones
Example 2:
The rear right passenger is listening to the radio via the vehicle loudspeaker
The rear left passenger switches to a DVD via the vehicle loudspeaker
the source for the rear right passenger is switched to the headphones
The operating instructions contain further information about restrictions relating to RSE system operation when
selecting various sources.
Additional information:
The Bluetooth headphones do not have any options for adjusting treble, bass etc.
The headphones have an integrated automatic frequency/tone adjustment feature.
If the rear display unit permanently shows: "Medium loading" the radio may not have been coded
INFO menu: The TMC report can be displayed within the navigation map on the unit at the front of the vehicle. This is not
possible on the rear units
There is no album browser option on rear control unit 1 for information electronics
