Subject: New Valve Block for Capacity Regulation of SAB 110, 128,
163 and 202 Screw Compressors

For the above screw compressors a new valve block with integrated filter has been de-
veloped. The distance between the coils has been increased, which means that the
valve block can be used for both explosion-proof and ordinary valve coils.

The same valve block is used for all the compressors mentioned. As spare part it will
replace the previous valve block. Some adjustment of the piping connections may, how-
ever, be necessary. In this connection it is recommendable to receive the changed pip-
ing as indicated in the following list or obtain drawings of the piping from our spare parts
department.

Operating and Service Instructions


The valve block is operated as described in the compressor instruction manual. The
purpose of the filter is to prevent dirt from collecting in the nozzles of the solenoid
valves and in the throttle valves. The filter is positioned in the valve block as shown in
fig. 2.

Cleaning of filter
Dismounting
S Reduce pressure in the valve block to atmospheric pressure.

S Release union nut pos. a and remove pipe.

S Dismount screws pos. b (Torx T20) and remove filter housing pos. c and filter pos. d
manually.

S Clean filter with ordinary oil cleaning liquid. Blow filter clean and dry with compressed
air.

Mounting
S Mount filter by following the dismounting procedure in reversed order. Check that
rubber ring gasket pos. e is in order and positioned correctly.
