COMPANY PROFILE

HISTORY
The firm, formerly known as DAROYA ACCOUNTING & AUDITING OFFICE, is probably the
oldest accounting office in the locality. It was founded in 1948 by the late Victorino C. Daroya, who
received a posthumous award as pioneer accounting practitioner in Dagupan City by the city
government. When he died in 1972, his son, the late Jovencio L. Daroya, likewise a CPA, took over
the management of the office. During his tenure in 1974, he received a Certificate of honor as
Outstanding practitioner, one of only two awardees in the entire country, from the Philippine Institute
of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) National Organization. When he died in 1982, the practice
was again succeeded by his son, Raul N. Daroya, to become the principal and manager of the firm.

From then on, the office was effectively maintained the loyalty of its clients for it was able to
efficiently serve the needs of its clients through generations. With the increasing number of clients,
the firm has decided to register its name with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on
September 5, 2001, as a general professional partnership and to become DAROYA & Company,
CPAs.

DAROYA & Company, CPAs is an auditing firm accredited and authorized by the Board of
Accountancy / Professional Regulation Commission (BOA - PRC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP),
Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

PRESENT STRUCTURE AND SERVICES


Judged by the usual standard, which is the number of personnel, the firm is considered of medium
size in terms of national averages and, perhaps, of large size in the provincial are. Its staff consists of
2 department managers, 2 supervisors, a secretary, 2 auditors, 4 senior accountants, 3 assistant
senior, 3 junior accountants, 3 computer encoders, 3 liaison officers and 2 utility personnel or a total
of 25 members including the managing partner. The firm is currently serving an average of 240
clients year-round.

In addition to the usual auditing work, the firm handles special investigations, management, tax and
bookkeeping services. It is responsible for the preparation of tax returns of most of its clients. The
clientele is quite varied in terms of business classifications.

The firm has a branch in Urdaneta City and seriously expanding its operation in La Union.

PARTNERS PROFESSIONAL PROFILE


Raul Daroya is presently the managing partner of the firm. He is a CPA with more than 20 years of
experience in practically all aspects of the accounting profession. He is fairly well known in the
accounting profession having served as president of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (PICPA) Pangasinan Chapter in 1992.

Jovencio Daroya, Jr. a partner is a CPA with an extensive experience in the field of assurance and
business consultancy. Prior to his joining the firm, he was a controller of a group of companies and
has also conducted several independent audits of various unrelated companied. He is the Immediate
Past Chapter President of the PICPA Pangasinan Chapter.

Juvelita Daroya, a BSBA degree holder, has an extensive knowledge in the field of accounting and
taxes, national and local. She is responsible for and undertakes most of the firms accounting and tax
engagements. She is currently an officer and member of the Board of the Pangasinan Accountants
and Bookkeepers Association (PABA).
