Summary
The Marketing Lead for Russia will be responsible for all marketing initiatives that would grow
our customer base in all our focus countries throughout the country. Their goal is to build Xiaomi
into a mainstream consumer brand through a defined, creative, and cost-effective strategy.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all marketing functions across the country, including digital, ATL/BTL, instore,
and more, via Xiaomis own platforms as well as third-party channels
Work closely with the Xiaomi global marketing team, local distributor marketing team, and
partners to plan and
execute all marketing initiatives
Develop strategic and tactical marketing plans in line with the companys goals and
approach
Develop Xiaomi as a positive consumer brand with mass appeal, both online and offline
Formulate, evaluate, and negotiate strong and innovative marketing partnerships and
advertising opportunities
Build and manage our fan community by crafting and running effective online campaigns
Lead market research to develop an in-depth understanding of our customers and
competitors
Required Experience
A minimum of 7 years experience in brand building in the digital and/or telecom industry
Experience in B2C marketing, offline advertising, product management, and start-ups will be
a big advantage
Strong sense of design, aesthetics, and writing style
Extremely creative and witty, demonstrable via a portfolio
Entrepreneurial spirit and willing to think out of the box
Outgoing, likeable, presentable, humble, and naturally capable of easily interacting with
others
Ability to work remotely and effectively in a remote and independent environment
Past experience working with multicultural teams a plus
Fluent in Russian and English

Xiaomi is one of the fastest growing and most disruptive technology companies in the world. We
are looking for a highly-experienced Director of Product Marketing to nurture and lead a diverse
Product Marketing team to support the companys growing international business outside China
in markets such as India, US, Indonesia, Russia, Vietnam, and more. You will own the creation
and execution of deliverables including (but are not limited to) keynote presentations, presenter
scripts, content creation for product webpages, social media, and offline retail for the full breadth
of Mi products sold internationally including smartphones, VR, TVs, laptops, routers and our
ecosystem of smart home appliances, wearables, personal transportation devices, and robots.
Responsibilities
Develop go-to-market strategy, own product positioning and messaging for all products
sold or reported on (by media and Mi fans), and shape the Mi brand identity in key global
markets
Own the creation and execution of world-class product marketing assets including (but
are not limited to) launch keynote presentations, presenter scripts, product webpages,
product slogans, product videos, offline retail assets, and exhibition event collaterals
Be critically aware of the competitive advantage of the each product (especially all Mi
smartphones) against the competition in key global markets, and craft bite-sized,
easy-to-understand product USPs pitched to both consumers and media
Nurture and lead a team of diverse product marketers, representing the teams work to
executives and internal stakeholders in Mandarin
Work cross-functionally with PR, Sales, Creative/Design, regional marketing managers,
mi.com web planners, Mi Community, and other leads to produce and influence product
marketing content across all platforms
Qualifications
8+ years of relevant Product Marketing experience, preferably with international
exposure at a fast growing consumer-facing tech company
Demonstrated leadership in building, nurturing, and managing a diverse team
Expertise in developing and crafting product marketing messaging for large-scale launch
events and across platforms
Education: Bachelors Degree. Graduate degree preferred.
Strong native English speaker and copywriter with working-level Mandarin proficiency
(speaking and writing)
Based in Beijing with frequent travel
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shape brand awareness and product messaging through creative storytelling across
multiple platforms, including launch keynotes, product webpages, videos, slogans and
marketing collaterals
Be a technical subject-matter-expert for for the breadth of Mi products that we offer,
including smartphones, TVs, routers, wearables, IoT/smart home and ecosystem
products, MIUI and our full suite of Mi apps
Distill well-research technical data points and transform them into bite-sized,
easy-to-understand layman speak using the gift of user scenarios and simple analogies
Research, analyze, and be critically aware of the competitive advantage of each product
against the competition in our key global markets
Get your hands in the technical dirt: flash phones, compare MIUI builds, run benchmark
tests (e.g. AnTuTu, GeekBench), run battery, thermal, speed, network tests in controlled
conditions that you specify, disassemble and teardown products, suggest bug fixes, etc.
Work intricately with various teams (designers, videographers, planners, web
developers, etc). to bring each visual and messaging to life, but also work independently
to DIY product marketing creatives during crunch time
Provide art direction so that assets have a consistent clean, minimalist design aesthetic
that is consistent with our overall brand guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
Product marketing experience in a fast growing tech company preferred
Creative storyteller with a passion for Xiaomi and all things tech
Meticulous fact checker, data seeker and grammar nazi
Strong English speaker/copywriter with working level Chinese
Willingness to learn or brush up on Chinese tech jargon
Familiarity with Keynote, Final Cut, Photoshop, and using DSLR or video equipment a
plus
Open to working with teams in different time zones

You will coordinate the entire marketing calendar and strategy including social media,
branding, ATL marketing, public relations, and budget allocation planning. You will also be
responsible for meeting market growth targets, maintaining brand hygiene, and establishing
marketing best practices with internal and external stakeholders.
