 Turnkey solutions for filling and fuelling
With more than 20 years experience, Cryostar Automation is at the leading edge
of the manual and automatic high pressure, liquid filling solutions market. Our
expertise encompasses two main applications: industrial gas in cylinder filling
systems and natural gas for vehicle refueling stations, in gaseous or liquefied
form.

Automation
Cryostar Automation brings added value through engineered turnkey solutions
that meet the most stringent requirements in terms of project management,
integration as well as installation and start-up. Cryostar Automation is the ideal
partner to optimise project performance, safety and reliability.


 Savings through high performance
Cryostar’s wide range of turbines – cold production ranging from 1kW to 4mW – are
used for all types of gases, with a choice of brakes adapted to all kind of proc-
esses (ASU, NLU, N2 generators). Thanks to in-house expertise, Cryostar’s turbines
are the industry standard for industrial gas companies around the world. Results
show good performance in either electricity savings or enhanced output, where
reliability means reduced operating costs. Oil braked, compressor loaded or
generator loaded units, for energy recovery, are available in a broad range of
standard frame sizes. Cryostar is also the only manufacturer capable of provid-
ing a full range of special application turbines. These include mixed brake units,
oil brake and cold compressor; liquid expansion turbines, installed in parallel to
the Joule Thomson valves in order to reduce energy consumption or increase
output using the same power input; and clean fuels (biogas) expanders.

Turbines


 Reliability
Cryostar is the preferred supplier of turbines for hydrocarbon gas processing for
many engineering companies and end users for the oil and gas industry.
Cryostar’s hydrocarbon expanders are known to be particularly robust, reliable
and highly efficient machines built to the latest API 614 and API 617 standards.
With over 30 years of experience in aerodynamic design, Cryostar has achieved
an outstanding level of isentropic efficiency, typically between 86 to 91 per
cent. These units are used in cryogenic gas processing applications such as
natural gas plants for NGL recovery, olefin plants, LNG production, pipeline gas
dew point control and H2/CO processing.

Integrated boil-off solution

Cryostar offers a fully integrated package to handle continuous LNG boil-off dur-
ing transportation. Unique to Cryostar, the solution is for the combined cryogenic
machinery for the cargo handling system on LNG carriers. This includes:
- Boil off gas compressors: low and high duty, low duty EcoBot,
two stages low duty;
- Gas heaters and vaporizers: Boil-off / warm up heaters, boil-off heaters,
warm up heaters, main or LNG vaporizer, Forcing vaporizer, mist separator; and
- Re-liquefaction machinery and systems: low duty for re-liquefaction, low
duty for gas turbine, refrigeration compander, EcoRel.
The diversity of the equipment allows Cryostar to cover a full operating envelope,
maintaining a safe and reliable operation whatever the propulsion system may be.

 Clean Energy, The power behind Lo-C
Low carbon energy recovery technology is affordable, cost-effective and available
now. Cryostar Lo-C radial in-flow turbines, with or without magnetic bearings,
hold the key to exploiting pressure let down, geothermal plants, waste heat and
natural gas liquefaction.
