WEEK OF JANUARY 15, 2018

HANDWRITING

SCIENCE-Students will begin a new booklet: Observing Physical Chang-
es. They will observe and compare physical and chemical changes, de-
scribe the characteristics of matter and measure the mass of solids.
Students should begin preparing for the science fair scheduled for March 23. I will
send home a checklist for their project.
RELIGION-This week students will begin to learn about justice and hu-
man rights. They will create posters on basic human rights and present
them to the class. This week’s Word of the Week is fulfillment-the
achievement of something desired, promised or predicted. This

SOCIAL STUDIES-This week students will present their probe books on
Christmas in another country. We will also start a new unit on people
in communities.

REMINDERS
The parking lot on Arizona is not a drop off area. Parents must park and walk the students to the light or
have the students walk to the light on their own.
We are still collecting pop tops for Ronald McDonald House. We have filled 5 large collection boxes and
have nearly filled a sixth one! Help us out by sending in pop tops (soda tabs)! We could win a class party!
Thank you to all who have sent in tops! We are doing an outstanding job!
We are also collecting box tops and Prices’ bottle caps. Help us out by sending these items in whenever you
buy products with the box top label or Prices’ products!
Please send in any prayer intentions that you may have so that we can pray for them during our morning an-
nouncements and during our Friday rosary. Don’t forget to send your children with their rosary on Fridays!
