(Attachment 2—2010 Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, Part B‐DWSRF 2.2‐11)
for GPR funding. Public Water Systems (PWS) can now apply for funding in the form of grants or low‐

interest and long‐term loans to install automatic flushing devices in order to start saving water, time
and money (see water‐saving calculator on the next page)!
Green Project Reserve (GPR) funding is a program designated by the EPA to promote green
infrastructure by funding projects and products that provide water and energy efficiency
improvements. The EPA requires that a minimum of 20% of the funds made available to each state’s
Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) capitalization grants be used by the state for projects

Kupferle offers a better solution to placing expensive
fire hydrants on waterline dead ends. The Eclipse
#7500 and #7600 provides comparable flow rates for
flushing and scouring but at half the cost of a fire

feet on either side of the unit, but when placed on
dead ends the downstream area of protection is
wasted (see illustration below). Additionally, fire
departments prefer NOT to have fire hydrants placed
