Amor Preparami​ is about a woman tells life to either prepare her for the trials and
tribulations of love, or to leave her alone. She is in love with a man, but her love is not returned.
Though she says that she can tolerate having the chains of love, but what she can not stand is
being teased by love.

Where’er You Walk

Where’er You Walk ​is from the Opera ​Seleme​. A princess has been seduced by and has
spent the night with the god Jupiter. The song takes place as he sends her one her way back to
her castle. The song promises a safe journey back to the castle and speaks of all of nature will
bowing in her direction as she goes on her way.

My Life’s Delight

My Life’s Delight ​is a speaking bidding the love of a woman’s life to give himself over to
the joys of love. With the first verse, the singer begs her love not to leave her in anguish and begs
him to catapult them both into happiness. With the second verse, she compliments his looks and
says the purity in him is reflection in his beauty. Then returns to the main theme by inviting him
to bask in the “heavenly light” of love with her.

Non lo Diro col Labbro​ is translated in English as the song of “Silent Worship.” The
song takes place at the beginning of the third Act of Handel’s opera, ​Tolomeo​. Alessandro is
singing of his love for a woman, but does not feel that he can openly love her. He hopes that
even though he can tell her how much her loves her with words, every glance he sends in her
direction will speak his love for her in volumes.

Let Yourself Go

Let Yourself Go​ is a standard by Irving Berlin. The song has a jazzy melody and rhythm
that compliments the lyrics splendidly. The lyrics speak of a party scene with a band and a
dancefloor. The song bids its listeners to get inspired by the music they hear and give themselves
over to dancing.
What’ll I Do

What’ll I Do ​begins by speaking of the end of a love. By talking about split, the singer’s
ambiguous feelings towards her past relationship become more defined as she realizes she does
not know what her future holds. She goes into more detail in the main part of the song. She
speaks of how even though her past relationship is over she does not know how she will react of
feel when he moves on to another relationship and she’s still alone.
