Commas in a Series
A series is a list of items in a sentence. Example:
I had eggs, toast, and fruit for breakfast.
Generally, a comma follows each item on the list before the conjunction. The conjunction is and in
the example above.
Below are sets of sentences. Turn each set into one sentence with a series. Add commas where they
are needed.
1) John’s shirt was blue. It was also green. It also had white on it.
