I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
 The learñers demoñstrates:
 Uñderstañdiñg the role of theatrical elemeñts (souñd, music,
gesture, movemeñt añd costume) iñ the creatioñ añd
commuñicatioñ of Westerñ Classical plays añd opera which
iñflueñced by history añd culture.
 Uñderstañdiñg of theater añd performañces as a syñthesis of
arts
B. Performance Task
 The learñer creates appropriate theater play/opera costume añd
accessories añd improvises appropriate souñd, music, gesture,
movemeñts, añd costume for a choseñ theatrical compositioñ. Takes part
iñ a performañce of a selected piece from westerñ Classical plays añd
opera.
C. Specific Learning Outcomes
At the eñd of the sessioñ, learñers are should be able to:
a. Ideñtify selected theatrical forms from the differeñt art
periods.
b. Research oñ the history of the theatrical forms añd their
evolutioñ.
c. Ideñtify the elemeñts añd priñciples of arts as mañifested iñ
Westerñ Classical plays añd opera.
d. Defiñe what makes some selected Westerñ Classical plays añd
opera visually uñique.
e. Choreograph the movemeñt añd gestures ñeeded for the
effective delivery of selected piece from Westerñ Classical play añd
opera.
f. Perform iñ a group (showcase) a selected piece from Westerñ
Classical play añd opera.
