LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to listen to and sing along a song about
food with guidance.
SUCCESS CRITERIA : 1. All pupils can point out 4/6 food pairs mentioned in the lyrics correctly.
2. Most pupils can sing along the song clearly with the music.
3. (LBI) Most pupils can listen and point to 6 food pairs correctly.

ACTIVITIES NOTES
i. PRE-LESSON (6 min.) : 1. Pupils play true/false game, where they stand if true and Flashcards
sit if false by looking at the flashcards and previously
learnt ‘have got’ and ‘haven’t got’ phrases.
ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : Activity 1 CD2:06/07
(49 min.) 1. Teacher pre-teaches kitchen, milk and juice. Pupils look
at the screen lyrics (S.M.p48) and to listen to the song.
2. Pupils listen use their fingers to point to the food pairs
as teacher pauses from verse to verse. Peer assess.
Activity 2
3. Pupils sing along the song and clap along the rhythm.
4. Pupils practise singing with the slow version of karaoke
for pronunciation drill, followed by normal version.
Activity 3
5. Teacher lays out the food flashcards in a large circle on
the floor, pupils in pairs listen and touch the set of food
with their arms.
6. Reading Screening.
iii. POST-LESSON (5 min.) : 1. Pupils sing the song with their own creative gestures.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to use preposition ‘up’ and ‘under’
correctly with guidance.
SUCCESS CRITERIA : 1. All pupils can correct the wrong prepositions in 6/10 sentences correctly.
2. Most pupils can answer 6/10 preposition questions on Plickers Quiz correctly.
3. (LBI) Most pupils can act and say out 6/10 prepositional phrases correctly.

ACTIVITIES NOTES
i. PRE-LESSON (6 min.) : 1. Teacher guides pupils to look at the screen that contains PPT, paper ball,
a scene. Pupils read the sentences Eg, “The paper ball is paper plane
___ the tree.” and show thumb up for on or down for in. (recap in/on)
ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : Activity 1
(49 min.) 1. Teacher pre-teaches up and under using realia. Pupils
repeat after teacher’s phrases.
2. Pupils randomly chosen to set up a scene with the props,
teacher says a wrong phrase, pupils use traffic lights to
indicate True/False, and discuss the correct preposition.
Activity 2
3. Pupils look at the pictures, read and answer the multiple-
choice questions on Plickers Quiz.
4. At the same time on their worksheet, they write down the
sentences in the spaces given beside the pictures.
Activity 3
5. Pupils remember the phrases they just wrote and play an
“Up/Under” acting game for extra points. Peer assess.
6. Reading Screening.
iii. POST-LESSON (5 min.) : 1. Pupils plays a Simon Says game using prepositions.
