ABSTRACT
This research aims to examine: 1) The school facilities towards the
learning achievement of Sociology subject of social science students grade XI in
SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta school year 2015/2016; 2) The relationship of learning
interest towards the learning achievement of Sociology subject of social science
students grade XI in SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta school year 2015/2016; 3) The
relationship of school facilities and learning interest towards the learning
achievement of Sociology subject of social science students grade XI in SMA
Negeri 8 Surakarta school year 2015/2016.
This research applied quantitative approach. The population in this
research are all social science students belonging to grade XI of SMA Negeri 8
Surakarta school year 2015/2016. This research used 54 students as the samples
taken by using proportional cluster non random sampling technique. The method
of data collection done by using questionnaire, documentation, and interview. The
data analysis method applied is multiple regression analysis.
The results of this research are: 1) There is positive and significant
relationship of school facilities toward the learning achievement of Sociology
subject of social science students grade XI in SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta school
year 2015/2016; 2) There is positive and significant relationship of learning
interest towards the learning achievement of Sociology subject of social science
students grade IX in SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta school year 2015/2016; 3) There is
positive and significant relationship between school facilities and learning interest
towards the learning achievement of Sociology subject of social science students
grade XI in SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta school year 2015/2016. Thus, it could be
concluded that, both school facilities and learning interest influence the learning
achievement of Sociology subject of social science students grade XI in SMA
Negeri 8 Surakarta 2015/2016.
