Canon today announces the new imageCLASS MF249dw / MF246dn / MF237w / MF235 /
MF232w All-in-One Laser Printer – the perfect choices to handle mono print, copy, fax1
and color scan tasks for small to medium offices. The new imageCLASS printers
incorporate various mobile printing technologies2, offering the convenience to print and
scan directly with the free Canon PRINT Business Apps3. Cloud Print, AirPrint, Canon
Print Service and Morpia™ are also supported, enabling easy and direct printing of
documents from mobile devices for enhanced work efficiency. The printers also feature a
built-in Wi-Fi wireless network4 for network share function to ensure cost-effectiveness by
making the most of the printers. In addition, imageCLASS MF249dw features a 50-sheet
auto duplex feeder for quick and easy handling large quantity of duplex copying and
scanning tasks.

Easy and Direct Print / Scan / Fax Workflow for Convenient Sharing
With the network connectivity, imageCLASS MF249dw and MF246dn users can save
scanned documents and received faxes directly to emails, shared folder (SMB server), on
the intranet to facilitate easy information sharing among different departments. In addition,
both printers newly support Internet Fax function which allows users to send and receive
faxes over the internet, saving costs even for sending faxes to oversea locations.

imageCLASS MF249dw supports full auto duplex function for printing, scanning, copying,
sending and receiving fax to save paper resources and printing cost, as well as to
enhance office efficiency by making multiple-page documents and reports neat and easy
to read. Coupled with the capability to print double or even quadruple on a single sheet of
paper, paper usage can be further reduced. It is also equipped with a 50-sheet duplex
auto document feeder to facilitate easy copy, scan and fax tasks for multiple-page
documents. The auto duplex function further simplifies the process by eliminating the need
to flip over the originals.

After registering for Cloud Print service from the printers’ network interface (Remote UI),

efficiency and flexibility.

“Canon PRINT Business” Mobile Application

All printers support the free “Canon PRINT Business” mobile application which is designed
to meet various office printing and scanning needs. It allows users to print directly from
iOS and Android™ devices via network6 and supports a vast variety of commonly used file
types, including image files in JPEG / GIF / BMP / PNG / TIFF formats, Microsoft Office
files, iWork files7 and PDF files. Direct printing of online articles and web pages is also

UFR II Technology and Multiple Printer Languages for Fast and Efficient Printing
imageCLASS MF249dw / MF246dn / MF237w / MF232w incorporate Canon’s proprietary
Ultra Fast Rendering Technology (UFR II) for efficient printing by offloading some of the
data processing tasks, such as the processing of images and half-tone graphics to the
computer, taking full advantage of the computer’s constantly evolving processing speed
and operating system performance. The processed data will then be highly compressed,
resulting in a much smaller graphical file that dramatically reduces the printer’s processing
time. In addition, imageCLASS MF249dw / MF246dn comes with PCL printer languages to
support printing of a wider range of documents.

6-Line Touchscreen LCD Display for Intuitive and Simple Operation
imageCLASS MF249dw / MF246dn / MF237w / MF235 and MF232w are equipped with a
6-line Touchscreen LCD and a 5-line LCD respectively, both supporting Traditional
Chinese display and graphical instruction to show users clearly the printer operation and
status. The simple touch operation and user-friendly interface make operation a lot easier
to facilitate a convenient and smooth workflow.

Vari-Angle Operation Panel for Easy Viewing and Control

The 5 new printers adopt a vari-angle operation panel design, allowing users to adjust the
panel’s angle to their liking to ensure easy viewing of the LCD display as well as easy
operation. This design also provides users with total freedom for printer placement,
ensuring the same level of operational flexibility regardless of the printer being placed on

Fax Preview from Remote UI
