Function Description
Licenses and Hardware To activate the EUL Multi-Carrier feature, the license for the feature must be
Activation Codes installed and enabled.
EUL User Plane If the EUL Multi-Carrier feature is activated, EUL user throughput can increase up
to 100%.
EUL Migration and If the EUL Multi-Carrier feature is activated, EUL user throughput can increase up
Activation to 100%.
Enhanced UL Scheduler If the EUL Multi-Carrier feature is activated, EUL user throughput can increase up
to 100%.
Load Sharing The new EUL Multi-Carrier capability is included in the HSDPA IFLS Capability and
Priority Handling feature.
Connection Handling The EUL Multi-Carrier introduces a new type of connection capability.

Power Control New independent outer and inner loop power control functions are introduced for
secondary carrier.
Handover New intra frequency measurements are introduced for secondary carrier.
Admission control New admission control parameter is introduced to control the maximum number
of allowed EUL Multi-Carrier users in a cell.
