Site Selection.
Select a road construction site.
We are Choice site a road construction site for our Practical
field training report because Roads make a crucial contribution

Materials are use in roads.
Gravels. Crushed stone may be made from granite,
limestone, duotone, and other rocks. Also known as "crusher
run", DGA (dense grade aggregate) QP (quarry process), and
shoulder stone. Fine gravel: gravel consisting of particles with
a diameter of 2 to 4 mm. gravel is a loose aggregation of rock
fragments. Gravel is classified by particle size range and
includes size classes from granule- to boulder-sized
fragments. In the Udden-Wentworth scale gravel is categorized
into granular gravel (2 to 4 mm or 0.079 to 0.157 in) and
pebble gravel (4 to 64 mm or 0.2 to 2.5 in).

Machines are use in roads.
Excavator. Excavators (hydraulic) are heavy
construction equipment consisting of a boom, dipper (or
stick), bucket and cab on a rotating platform known as the
"house". The house sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or
wheels. is one of the major machines used in earthwork
construction, comprised of power unit, transmission system,
traveling system, rotary structure, control mechanism,
electrical and working devices. The working device of
excavator can be attached with dozens of different tools
according to various working conditions, thus the excavators
are suitable for use in many construction jobsites including
road, railway, buildings, mining, water engineering and national defense etc.

Roadbed.
A layer of ballast that supports the sleepers of a railway track
Sub base.
In highway engineering, sub base is the layer of aggregate material laid on the
sub grade, on which the base course layer is located. It may be omitted when there will be only
foot traffic on the pavement, but it is necessary for surfaces used by vehicles. Sub base is often
the main load-bearing layer of the pavement.

Road Base Material also known as road rock, road gravel, aggregate base, AB,
asphalt base and 3/4″ minus. ... It allows the storm water to be shed and keep theroad bed from
