4. Installation of SW Panels
SW Panels are fixed by CT 85 adhesive and mechanical
fasteners. Approximately 5.00 litres of clean potable
water in a suitable container is to be arranged. To this
container, CT 85 adhesive needs to be added in small
increments, and a low speed drill with a mixing paddle
is used until the mixture is thoroughly blended.

QUALITY CONTROL
Quality Control Smart Wall Panel System (SIFS)
1. Material storage:
Verify adequacy of material storage areas and that materials are properly stored.
Insulation should be protected from moisture and direct sunlight during job and whilst site storage.
Pallets of Smart Wall panels are double packaged in a UV resistant polyethylene bag. This moisture
resistant package is designed for protection from the elements during flat-bed shipment from
factories to the site, and for storage on-site during construction phase. Outdoor storage for extended
periods of time requires additional breathable water proof tarpaulins and elevated storage above
ground level by a minimum of 4”.
2. Substrate conditions:
Verify that the substrate is correct, substrate condition is clean, dry, free from defects, in plane, and
verify substrate installation and attachment in conformance with manufacturer’s recommendations
(detailed in method statement)
3. Flashing:
Flashing is a vital component of wall construction that is intended to divert and direct water to the
exterior of the wall.
3.1. Note critical flashing locations on the structure and verify that flashing is present. Flashing must
be installed in compliance with the applicable building code, and at a minimum at the following
locations:
3.2. Verify that flashing end dams are incorporated into the flashing material beneath windows and
doors.
4.1.Backwrapping: Verify the presence and attachment of back wrap reinforcing mesh at system
terminations prior to the application of SW panels.
4.2. Adhesive application: Verify application of adhesive in the proper direction with the proper size
notched trowel.
• Verify full embedment of back wrap reinforcing mesh along edges—no voids or mesh color
visible.
• Verify installation of diagonal mesh strips at corners of all openings.
• Verify installation of High impact mesh with butt joints at areas indicated on drawings.
• Verify reveals reinforced with mesh and no excess base coat.
• Verify mesh overlaps of minimum 2-1/2”.
• Verify double mesh or Corner Mesh reinforcement at corners.
• Verify no mesh color visible in the completed base coat application.
• Verify finish application in advance of direct sunlight exposure and away from a wet edge.
• Verify consistency of texture and color with sample or mock-up.
• Verify finish not installed into or over construction joints.
4.7. Sealants
5. Final inspection
Subject to the terms outlined in this guarantee, GPI hereby guarantees the performance of Smart Wall Panel
system for a period of 10 (ten) years from the date of installation. The product(s) however must be properly
applied, using approved materials and applicators as per the manufacturer’s recommendations and applicable
building code regulations or applicable industry standards. Product(s) should be used within their shelf life and
be installed in accordance with written guidelines and specifications provided at the time of installation. For
valid claims presented under this warranty, GPI shall replace and/or repair over the life of this Guarantee up
to an aggregate amount equal to the amount paid for the supply.
EXCLUSIONS GPI is not responsible for the following acts, conditions or circumstances or any damage, which
may arise from there:
1. For structural failure or workmanship not in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and the applicable
industry standards.
2. Normal wear and tear resulting from usage.
3. Loss due to delays or any other consequential damages.
4. Any new installation, repairs or other maintenance or construction on or through the Smart Wall Panel
system.
5. Damage caused due to falling objects.
6. Any adjacent or abutting buildings structure, improved or unimproved property or any component thereof
including but not limited to structural failure or damage, leakage or drainage.
7. Damage due to Vandalism.
8. Any deliberate or negligent acts omissions by the owner or any third party, either before, during or after
installation of the Smart Wall Panel system.
9. Exposure to any chemical or solution, fire, radiation.
10. Settlements, distortion, failure or cracking of the building deck, walls or foundations of the building.
11. Improper installation or failure of any material used over which the Smart Wall Panel system is installed.
12. Infiltration or condensation of moisture in, through or around the walls, copings, buildings structure, or
underlying or surrounding materials.

Smart Wall Corner Beads – SWCB 50
Description
It eliminates the need for the time consuming task of
rasping and double wrapping of corners to achieve a
smooth, plumb, and level corners. The nose allows
for straight corners, depth of finish and high impact
resistant. The absence of a rounded nose allows
the EIFS corner bead to lie perfectly flat on the two
adjoining walls that form the corner.

Smart Wall Finish Coat – SW FC
Description
Different finishes can be created by using different
tools such as trowels, sponges, or brushes. The art
in traditional rendering is the appearance of the top
coat. Different tradesmen have different finishing
styles producing different textures and decorative
effects. SW Finish coat is used for making thin-layer
plasters on concrete substrates, traditional plasters,
gypsum substrates and chipboards, gypsum
cardboards, etc. We recommend the application of
the SW Finish coat as facade plaster on the Smart
Wall panels.

Smart Wall Reinforcing Mesh – SWM 16O
Description
Fiber glass mesh reinforcement is a coated alkaline
resistant fiber glass fabric used for Smart Wall
rendering system that meets ASTM E2098. Fiber
glass mesh has several advantages – high tensile
strength, water-proof,and low elongation. Strength
and durability are a direct result of the weight
of the mesh. It is an ideal material for concrete
reinforcing in building Smart Wall system. It is used
in conjunction with CT 85 adhesive mortar and work
as a reinforcement for both vertical and horizontal
joints of Smart Wall panels.
