    SUBJECT: REMANUFACTURED CATERPILLAR PUMPS

    In response to a request from Caterpillar, Stanadyne has begun a program to


    remanufacture DB2 and DB4 pumps for some of their applications. As you may
    know, Caterpillar has a business philosophy of self-servicing whenever possible
    and wishes to have complete units available within their parts system to reduce
    engine downtime in remote areas of the world where the availability of Stanadyne
    service may be limited.

    Please note that the remanufactured Caterpillar injection pumps will use a special
    nameplate as shown below.

    Because the nameplate data on Caterpillar remanufactured fuel pumps does not
    make reference to the Stanadyne model number, the part number cross reference
    listing on the following page is provided in order for the Stanadyne Service
    Network to be able to identify and service the product if called upon to do so.

    Warranty
    Stanadyne’s warranty coverage for these remanufactured pumps is available to
    Caterpillar dealers only via Caterpillar channels. As a result, Stanadyne dealers
    should not provide any warranty consideration for these units if received for
    service regardless of the complaint, age, or hours of operation.
