    Coil Resistance Test


    •A very simple test to perform
    •Immediate indication of the health of the
    conductor(s) in the windings
    •Looks for resistance imbalance between
    phases, discrepancies between measured
    resistance values, previous measurements
    and manual

    Coil Resistance Test


    Method:
    1.Inject a known constant current through the
    windings,
    2.Measuring the voltage drop across the winding,
    3.Calculate the coil resistance using Ohm’s law
    4.Compare the measurements with the previous
    measurements of the same coil or name plate value
