All three, slot, groove and hole, refer to the opening of an object.

The difference among the three is:


1. Slot : rectangular shaped but edges are circular in nature
2. Groove : is also rectangular in nature and the edges are also
straight
3. Hole: is circular in nature
Hole: is a circular cutout can be a through hole or extend only
upto a blind depth we can also have a stepped hole this figure

Slot: -a slot is an elongated hole. -it is stretched in one


direction and usually has full radii on both ends (the edges may or
may not be round) -usually a slot is cut into a flat plate

Groove : 1)-usually cut along the edge 2)-elongated cutout , usually
