The role offers the opportunity to lead the GP Bullhound Asset Management business which invests on
a pan European basis across a broad range of segments including internet, hardware, software and
digital media. The candidate will have eight or more years’ transaction experience, with a proven
track record of managing a fund and working in corporate finance, probably at a technology focused
fund or investment bank. Prior experience of fund raising will be beneficial.
Candidates will have developed skills in portfolio company and investor management, modelling and
drafting skills alongside a sound understanding of legal and accounting matters, and are likely to be
approved by a regulatory authority e.g. the UK FCA or Swedish FSA. They must have a genuine passion
for technology and investment banking, along with an excellent academic background with a tertiary
level education probably with a finance or economics focus, and are likely to have command of at
least one European language in addition to high business standard written and spoken English.
The candidate must be a team player, keen to take on responsibility and competent at delegation.
Key qualities include being able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mind-set, being highly self-
motivated and having a high degree of stamina to work within a high energy and focused team
environment.
The candidate should be a strong advocate of firm culture and values and capable of undertaking
the following without significant Partner involvement:
• Ensuring that tasks are completed and followed up on for themselves and their team
• General project management
• Reviewing and reporting on potential leads
• Production of marketing materials such as pitches, reports, presentations, financial analysis, etc
• Taking responsibility for executing and managing transaction processes on behalf of the fund
• Taking initiative and being pro-active both with clients and internally
• Liaison with and management of third party advisors such as administrators, lawyers and
accountants
• Producing marketing materials e.g. portfolio company pitches, fund-raising documentation
• Building sector expertise and maintaining strong trusted relationships in selected sectors
• Having a good awareness of the firm’s competitors and market opportunities across all of its
geographies and sectors
• Managing or developing a powerful personal network
• Circulating a concise and insightful weekly update to the Partnership of project progress and other
activities
